The short answer is yes.

I'm going to be working with a team to see if we can implement both Eve and Dust side betting. I think the guys can pull it off Eve-side, but I think the market mechanics may not be mature enough to pull it off Dust side though.

Well even then I doubt most dust characters have enough isk to bet more then a couple million at a time~ Alright guys I'll be watching to see who's going to win me the most money!

You need to have "Dust Tourney" In the subject so I can spot it easily. Specify if you primary region (EU, US, etc.) of your tourney participants.

Instead of just streaming, how about just the ability to record it? I.e record the last 5 mins or so, that way people with not so good comps or what not can still play/be eligible if they have an HD PVR etc.

This could be an option. I know people also may be hesitant to stream a live match due to the tactical information that might be given away doing so.

Is this going to be 8 v 8 like the corp battles now, or we going 16 v 16 like the last tourney?

This of course doesn't apply to pilot end of the battles.

There is a change to squad sizes happening next week most likely from 4 men to 6. Pub matches will go up to 48.

If they keep Corp battles at half the Pub match number then this Tourney will be held at 12 vs 12.

I really hope so 8v8 would be kinda lame for a tourney. The 16v16 was really nice, it made for some epic battles.

I am going to be finalizing the specifics tonight, but as it stands right now we'll have an open round-robin where corps will fight to earn seed points. There will be bonus seed points (amounts to be determined) for certain actions including but not limited to Eve Supported Orbital Strikes, active stream of each match (point goes to each team with a streamer), and each recorded match posted to YouTube. The 12 top corps with the most seed points who have submitted applications will be placed into the first round along with four wildcards from the other Corps who have submitted applications.

Haven't had any EU corps apply yet so far. Only NA and AU if I'm remembering where each corp's main player base correctly. I've talked to some of the Russian corps and they are considering. Would love to have Betamax and SI thrown in.

You can fight anyone you want for seed points (up to two times). You get MORE points for fighting someone who has been listed as an official tourney entry.

So you get points for beating teams not in the tournament, AND you get points for using Ringers on your team now? Liking the way this tournament is shaping up.

Kain! I am requesting to disqualify all Zions or any other corp wins where the entire roster is not of the applying Corp. This is supposed to be a Corp Tournament and not an alliance tournament.

If thats the case large alliances can just group up together and put their best players up.

In all fairness, Corp should sport only corp members.

Agreed, it makes sense for a Corporation Tournament to be restricted to members of that Corp anyway.

Ill make it a little easier here and will no longer submit wins using our ally's.

Not so much questioning the rules, just commenting on them. It's an 'interesting' tournament to say the least but i guess i should be happy people in the community are actually trying to help.

Zions win over SyN is still a win in Zion's book. As far as the competetion is concerned however is brings about a bigger hiccup. Having people from other Corps ring from you takes out those other corporations from the pool. It also brings about a bigger problem of merc hiring (which is to be expected in normal day to day activities). For Example;- even though the Imperfects are barred from the tourney, whats to stop say a corp from hiring players like God Nova, Aldin Kan, Kain etc from the Imperfects to ring for them. Technically there are just mercs and only ringing for the corporation.

Since this competetion is community driven we can bring about some level of fairness that CCP lacked.

Actually the most kills was going to be for the double elimination phase of the tournament, BUT If you'd like to award it based on the Round-Robin I can do that! It'd be cool to go ahead and get a prize out there.

I like this idea for the Round Robin. I'll go through the material and see who had the highest kill count in a single match.

You need to give two then for WP - otherwise you're gimping logi's and certain pilots.
