This series of events offer players a chance to participate and act out proceedings that will alter the balance of power between the 4 main rival factions within the EVE universe. So, keep an eye on this thread as we announce more weekly events that will be rolled out in the coming weeks!
This weekGÇÖs event will involve EVE capsuleers fighting to gain control of DUST mercenary clones. Read on to find out more info about this event.
// Mercenaries do battle with Caldari Navy forces; escape with Guristas help
As the Caldari Navy and Caldari Providence Directorate continues its assault on cloned mercenaries throughout the Caldari State, one embattled enclave on Vellaine III managed to escape thanks to the assistance of the Guristas Pirates. A contingent of troopers led by Koraski Hakatain issued a call for assistance which was answered by the Guristas, who extracted the enclave and made their escape via a Rhea-class jump freighter.

Tibus Heth continues his purge of cloned mercenaries and is destroying enclaves across the Caldari State. The Templaris Dragonaurs, a paramilitary Caldari organization under Heth's control has been assaulting an enclave on Autama IV, but the mercs have found help from an unexpected source. Mordu's Legion, the premiere independent mercenary force in New Eden, has deployed men of its own to help save the enclave and rescue them from Heth's purge.
Both sides have issued contracts to independent mercs throughout New Eden. Will you help the Dragonaurs and eliminate potential future competition? Or will you aid the Legion and bring your fellow clone soldiers to freedom?
Starting after todayGÇÖs downtime you will find multiple contracts issued in the GÇ£MercenaryGÇ¥ tab of the battle finder between MorduGÇÖs Legion and Templaris Dragonaurs. The contracts will run until 18:00 GMT. |

Mercenaries fighting on behalf of Mordu's Legion managed to turn the tide against the Caldari, partly due to reported sabotage within the Caldari ranks, and held the field while Mordu's Legion dropships extracted a clone soldier enclave belonging to Osmon Surveillance. Further details of these events can be found in this public news article. |

The Minmatar Republic has gathered for its historical Tribal Council, the first since being subjugated by the Amarr Empire over a thousand years before. However, there is still strife within the Republic, as not everyone wishes the Minmatar people well. The Starkmanir Tribe, so-recently rescued from the brink of extinction, is setting up a colony on the planet Vard VII with the assistance of the Sebiestor Field Sappers. But someone, perhaps a sinister Amarr Holder or a representative of one of the more conservative Heirs, has hired the Bragian Order to destroy the settlement.
Fight for the Sebiestor Field Sappers (Defenders) and protect the Starkmanir settlement, or lay waste to them as part of the Bragian Order (Attackers) on behalf of the Amarr Empire.
Starting today at you will find multiple contracts issued in the "Mercenary" tab of the battle finder between the Sebiestor Field Sappers and Bragian Order. The contracts will run until 08:00 GMT. The outcome of these matches will impact the future of both sides. |

Mercenary raid on Starkmanir colony of Vard VII repelled by independent mercs hired by Sebiestor Field Sappers
Vard GÇô Bands of mercenaries contracted by the Bragian Order assaulted a Starkmanir colony on Vard II and were repelled by mercenaries working on behalf of the Sebiestor Field Sappers between the hours of 04:00 and 08:00 EST, roughly four hours after the Minmatar Tribal delegates arrived in Pator to begin their historic Tribal Council.
Many of the residents were already in bed when the attack first began, as the Bragian Order began assaulting the village in the middle of the night. Soon after, mercenaries aligned with the Bragian Order began attacking the outlying districts on the planet, attempting to take a number of strategic installations.
Fortunately for the residents of the colony, the Sebiestor Field Sappers, who were on site providing logistical support, quickly mobilized to repel the attackers. The surprise attack by the Bragian Order took heavy initial casualties on the Field Sappers, with many initial battles being held by the Order's mercenaries. However, as the night wore on and dawn began to rise over the colony, the superior numbers and entrenched positions of the Sebiestor mercenaries began to turn the tide.
In the end, the Bragian Order mercenaries were driven out of the colony, though the damage had been done. Early tolls confirm forty-three civilian deaths, with over three-hundred injuries of varying severity reported. These numbers are expected to rise as search and rescue teams discover more victims of the attack. The Sebiestor Field Sappers refused to release any casualty reports of their own, though orbital surveillance reveals numerous dropsuit-clad corpses littering the colony's outlying areas.
Representatives for the Bragian Order would not comment on the reason for their attack. GÇ£The nature of our contracts is strictly confidential,GÇ¥ said a spokesperson who refused to identify himself or remove his dropsuit helmet during the interview. GÇ£We were given a job to do, we outsourced some of the work to independents, and made an attack.GÇ¥ He further refused to clarify if the Order considered its contract fulfilled or failed.
The Sebiestor Field Sappers denounced the attack, claiming, GÇ£This is clearly the result of Amarr hatred. Someone hired the Bragian Order to wipe out this Starkmanir colony out of nothing more than racist hatred. These people have little. There are no resources or supplies to be obtained here. It's full of former slaves, trying desperately to carve out a peaceful life. I am only glad we were here to help them. It would have been a slaughter otherwise.GÇ¥
The tribal delegations on Pator were in closed door meetings all day and were unavailable for comment on the incident. |

Workers in the Caldari State are finally beginning to get fed up with the actions (and inactions) of Tibus Heth. His own corporation, Kaalakiota, is failing to act on many of the promises he made when he came into power, while his coldhearted stomping of corporate rights has driven down share prices that his workers rely on for their future.
However, with his mind focused on defeating the Federation and seeing enemies everywhere after the attempt on his life, Heth won't tolerate any dissent, even from the people who helped vault him into power. As the workers travel to New Caldari Prime to protest in front of the Chief Executive Panel, Heth unleashes the State Peacekeepers to disperse them. The workers, however, are prepared...
They have hired Expert Intervention to protect them. A firefight breaks out between the two sides and both issue contracts to independent mercs to assist them.
Starting today at 16:00 GMT you will find multiple contracts issued in the "Mercenary" tab of the battle finder between the State Peacekeepers (Attackers) and Expert Intervention (Defenders). The matches will continue to 18:00 GMT. The outcome of these matches will help determine the direction of the storyline. |

Intaki Assembly condemns "orbital strike tournament" Intaki - The Intaki Assembly has harshly condemned the Imperfects mercenary corporation for organizing a combat tournament on Intaki Prime which featured capsuleers providing off-field support via orbital strikes. The tournament, which involved mercenary corporations from across the cluster, was characterized by the Assembly as "an illegal bloodsport which caused untold damage to the planetary biosphere."
According to information gleaned from satellite reports, survey probes, and official releases from the organizers, the tournament took place amidst military installations recently abandoned by Mordu's Legion and the Ishukone Watch after the revocation of the Blind Auction by Tibus Heth. The mercenary corporations involved battled over the objectives on the planet, while capsuleers, who had been encouraged to place bets on the matches, were allowed to assault the facilities from orbit. Over the course of the tournament, numerous orbital strikes were recorded, and satellite images show several of the facilities have been reduced to rubble.
The majority of the installations were far from habited areas, typically being placed in arid regions of the planet without much surrounding wildlife. The Intaki Assembly claims this is irrelevant. "Orbital strikes, even tactical ones on remote sites, can kick up dust and spread pollution and wreckage," the press release read. "It is unconscionable that someone thought these activities were acceptable for entertainment and profit. That doesn't even consider the fact that it was essentially killing for fun. The Intaki Assembly would have never sanctioned such an event."
Tournament organizer Kane Spero brushed off such criticism, saying, "If anything, they should be thanking us for providing free demolition of those abandoned bases. If not for us, who knows? Kids might have gotten into them. Besides, it's not like anyone was permanently injured." |

Evaulon VII hosts finals of controversial GÇ£orbital strikeGÇ¥ tournament Evaulon GÇô The battered planet of Evaulon VII played host to the finals of the Imperfects-run mercenary tournament which recently was blasted by the Intaki Assembly for the ecological damage caused following an event being held on Intaki Prime. As opposed to the Intaki, the government of Evaulon VII was fully in support of the event and claimed it provided them GÇ£a much needed economic boost.GÇ¥
According to tournament organizer Kain Spero, he was contacted by the government of Evaulon VII shortly after news broke about the Assembly's displeasure. GÇ£They were very willing to work with us to host the tournament. It was a no-lose scenario. After all, you can't really damage what's already been destroyed, right?GÇ¥
Spero was referring to the city of Rilnais, which late last year was destroyed by a massive bombardment by the Serpentis. While the ruins of the city did not play host to the event itself, several of the defensive fortifications surrounding the city, which were abandoned following the Serpentis attack and city's destruction, were made available to participants.
A representative for the planetary government explained their willingness to host the tournament, GÇ£The event brought in hundreds of individuals to the nearby habitations to participate. And with the news from the previous round, a lot of people were eager to come by and spectate from a safe distance. After the destruction of Rilnais, we're eager for any injections of ISK.GÇ¥
The tournament was apparently a large success, as mercenary corporations belonging to the Rise of Legion and Unclaimed alliances did battle, while a massive 300-ship capsuleer fleet did battle in orbit as Rise of Legion managed to get off a single orbital strike before being pushed off the field by Unclaimed. The strike was seemingly enough to affect the battle, as their corporation took the victory and won the tournament.

Though the Caldari purge of cloned soldiers has mostly ended, a small enclave survived and is attempting to flee into the Gallente Federation, where cloned soldiers are still welcome. As the State chases these soldiers to finish them off, they come into conflict with the Federation Navy. Planetfall is made by a Caldari Navy transport on Couster IV, leading to an extended firefight between State and Federation forces, as the Federation attempts to fight off what they see as an illegal border incursion by the Caldari.
Starting today at 17:00 GMT you will find multiple contracts issued in the "Mercenary" tab of the battle finder between the State Protectorate (Attackers) and Federal Defence Union (Defenders). The matches will continue to 23:00 GMT. The outcome of these matches will help determine the direction of the storyline. |

Even though the Caldari State and Gallente Federation have come to a peace agreement about Caldari Prime, there are elements within the Caldari who wish to undo that peace and retake Caldari Prime entirely! The Templis Dragonaurs have long had hidden staging bases within the Federation from which to conduct raids, but they have been discovered by the Black Eagles. The two sides clash as the Black Eagles conduct a raid on the installation!
On April 1st between 14:00 and 23:30 GMT, you will find multiple contracts issued in the "Mercenary" tab of the battle finder between the Federal Intelligence Office and the Templis Dragonaurs! Participating in these matches will offer you another chance to receive the Black Eagles dropsuit! |

As revelry sweeps across the Kador Family territories, the Blood Raiders see an opportunity to strike. They assault a site on Oyonata which is holy to both them and the Amarr, hoping to recover relics they believe once belonged to them. The Amarr Empire, naturally, cannot allow this debasement of their faith to continue and order the Imperial Paladins to contain the situation. Both sides have issued mercenary contracts to assist in the fighting!
