I've noticed a couple things. 1 missile turrets just sent as effective as they should be in terms of blast radius. A blaster is a blaster and a railgun is simply hitting the ground hard, but the missiles are active explosives and frequently I can have someone totally engulfed in the flames from the explosives and they're not taking damage at all. Seems adult rifles are more effective than incredibly large and expensive explosives. >:/ and 2 this one is more technical. armor tanks seen to be simply better than shield tanks. They can take more damage, repair more, and add more per module. On top of that when spec'd in armor infantry can help repair you and there's the inherent advantage of Shields having the ability to repair themselves over time unlike armor so one wouldn't need to waste time with a shield booster... All this being said, my recommendations are fur the missile launcher turrets, add blast radius, don't mess with the damage, just make it more likely to hit. Cause the proximitry to do damage right now is frustrating, (practically need a direct hit)... And for the Shields vs armor issue, simply give Shields some sort of advantage that armor doesn't have. Make shield boosters more effective, like they can regenerate much faster than armor repairers, and give shield tanks a overall higher limit with or without (not both) additional modules.... I'd love to what other takers think about this btw.... I'm not the only one noticing this, right? |

Armor better than shields? LOL Shields already self recharge, shield tanked vehicles area faster than armor one and can fit tank + damage mods. Armor is also 30% weaker to swarm launchers (that everyone have) and AV grenades (that everyone can use) than shields.
But yes, missile turrets could use a little splash radius buff. |

Is armor that much weaker to swarm launchers? Still emp weapons will be a thing... And armor still has many more ways to repair, and since sheriffs can recharge themselves one would supposedly be able to actively repair ain't while Shields fix themselves... One thing that'd be nice at least is a repair tool type thing, but for Shields, not armor.
Anyway, I still think missiles are just simply too weak in terms of splash radius. And i'm glad to see i'm but the only one on that. |
