There are a few skills in this game which do not have bonuses per level. Are we going to see this changed in the future?
Racial dropsuit skills give no bonuses
Mobility gives no bonus
I think grenades and demolitions give no bonuses
I'm sure there are a few more, I guess I was wondering if anyone has heard anything through the rumor mill on if they are going to keep some skills completely without reason to level up. Getting a skill to level 5 should increase militia gear ability. Dropsuits should get better for spending such a huge amount of sp on them.

I don't know. I don't think either of those skills are completely without reason considering you do get a better drop suit or better grenades, but I agree they aren't like most skills like the mass driver for example which gives +3% blast radius per level. |

I was thinking about that today. Kinda like in EVE where a ship grants bonuses dependent on the skills you have related to it, different dropsuits can provide different bonuses based on your skill. That way there could be more dropsuit available for specific purposes rather than just having four general arch types.
Unfortunately there are so few dropsuit variants available at the moment that there would be very little room to make them all provide different bonuses if they did include that in.
That would be a pretty cool addition. |

that's nonsense, there are levels that unlock nothing. Eve has no need of skills that do nothing some levels, why does dust need them?
just because grenade level 4 doesn't unlock anything doesn't mean it has to do nothing. Can could further increase your throwing range by 5%
Each level in mobility should increase sprint speed. Right now geting it to level 2 does NOTHING. same with 4. IT's nonsense and bad unfinished beta non-sense I expect to be polished up quickly |

I believe the plan is for suit skills to have bonus on the different suits like eve. We will just get more suit types at time this bonus is added.
Grenade could lengthen the time till it blows, and the rate it cooks. So a skilled player could toss uncooked grenade, then cook one to get them to blow at nearly the same time. Useful if sneaking behind enemy and find group not looking behind their position.
The sprint speed bonus for mobility was suggested before, and is still a good idea.
The vehicle maneuvering skill could increase speed, or reduce cool down time of afterburners and boosters.
Gal/cal hav/lav/dropship should give bonus like suits. We could have 2-3 of each using same vehicle model and different bonus with different names. The vehicles could get different models when game moves to ps4 and/or the models are ready. A lot of work to make models for games.
There was talk of cap being used in dust to replace cooldown place holder mechanic. If this is true, it could be a cap bonus that makes no sense till cap is implemented. These skills would then be left blank for now, but grenade skill is surely not cap related. |

Dropsuit bonuses are planned, probably when we get the racial variants of each class, but can we get the missing pilot and command suits sorted before we start moaning about the odd skill that doesn't give you instant gratification for training every level ! |
