It seems as people always say games now a days are rushed because of deadlines and what not like battlefield 3 and killzone 3. And now people are complaining that dust is taking too long it takes time to make a quality game. |

EVE is starting to catch it's stride; after 10 years of development. Remember, it's not about the destination. Enjoy the journey. |

I agree.. I am a vet gamer..been playing games since colecovision :) and the stride that games have come along is great graphically and creatively . too much rush jobs to get a game out and too much complaining now a days is out of hand. I love Dust 514, and knowing that this game will get better with the finish product is something to look foward to. The game is free and if people don't like this or other games don't play them. I can't wait to see this game as a finished product, until then I will keep playing and enjoying this free Beta :) |

it's not that dust is taking to long, they're just going at it slowly. whether it's for good intentions, or they're just lazy. you would think simple bugs like these would be fixed in closed beta |

Wait, so does this mean the game will only be free while in beta?

This game might be rused but look at EvE. I remeber when that game first come out. That looked rushed. A couple years later and it looks even better. A few more years after and looks EVEN more improved. Now look at it. Really good looking game. If they apply that with Dust 514, I can't wait to have my skilled up soldier look even more bad ass with better graphics |

They just won't be advertising it until the Beta period ends. |

Video games are very much like art, in the sense that you just can't rush them out the door for a quick buck, only to leave them for dead after a few patches in or some cases no amount of post-release support to even speak of (do I really need to name examples here?).
Yes, CCP did rush Dust into open beta when its still not playing exactly as it was advertised in the trailers and such. Sure, we got orbital strikes, EvE to Dust connectivity on the same server, corp battles, and faction warfare. But the drones, low to null-sec features, and the fully connected player economy are missing in action, among other features that I don't remember right now.
The important thing to note about this is that CCP is well known for supporting EvE Online with free updates for all of its players, from hotfixes to expansions, and its been doing this for ten years at that (that is a freaking generation to mmos). Since Dust is a part of the same server that EvE runs on, it is technically part of the same game when you think about it. Going by that logic, it would be imperative on CCP's part to extend its free updates to Dust as well, in order to maintain the support that its been known for.
So to all of you fine Dust Bunnies out, console gamers or otherwise, rejoice! For this console FPS will actually get post-release support! If it doesn't, well, CCP had better pray that we are more merciful to them than other communities would be in that situation (pulls out a Tiberium Minigun)... |

Thank god, I will support any developer who takes the leap of faith in a free to play model. Funny how I would normally never buy DLC or pay for a game subscription but I would gladly pay for AUR and donate if I could. |
