Give us more power don't give us the big nerfs.. The above is what I love about CCP and has kept me playing EVE for 5going on 6yrs..
Dust so far is the same way (Lets talk heavies since they seem to be the popular nerf discussion)
I personally can't stand heavies they **** me off because of how much damage they do and how much damage they can take... But this is their job and I can work around them in order to kill them.. (I'm sure the same is said about MD users)
Ive become pretty efficient with the MD and I can kill a heavy in 4-5 rounds 1v1 (Some may say that's cause you're a MD user, or some may say that's to many MD it should be 2-3) I don't think so at all... If anything it should take a bit more and may if that heavy is focused trained in armor/HMG..
Now keep in mind that's 1v1 if i have a corpy or even a pub assault along my side shooting at the same heavy, I can successfully suppress and/or kill him in 2 rounds...
I know the whole NERF topic has been discussed multiple times all im asking is to keep the above in the back of your mind. Find where you think the "classes" should be at, then tweak/add modules so we can evolve our builds accordingly...
Prime example I have a solo MD/Ambush build and a Corp match/skirmish assault MD build.. Either one Id be able to take down an infamous "heavy" but each one I would have to adjust my approach and play style..
I'm not saying the builds aren't versatile as is I agree some tweaks are needed but don't nerf one individual "class" tweak our possible builds so we personally give that class a challenge. Similar to what you guys did recently in Retribution and ship re balancing. I don't see anything wrong as is, with any of the generic classes lets just continue to evolve! |

Provide a comparison for me, because im 30yrs old and have played everything from old school Rainbow Six to black ops..
I don't see how heavies are unbalanced, actually I take that back.. If you compare Dust to the "every day FPS game" Sure its unbalanced but this isn't your ordinary FPS game and I have no problem killing heavies... ****, a hardcore COD fan boy local friend of mine hates dying by a heavy but once he understood his class he has dropped many of them, and it feels good to drop a heavy..
I don't want an FPS where every class is equal, what would be the point then.. ? |

Killing a heavy in 4-5 rounds of a MD is not efficient. You should be able to do it in 2-3. With that big body of his it should not be too hard to land a direct hit on a heavy.
Oh sorry, you must have amazing aim.... I apologize... If you can get 2-3 direct hits on a heavy while dodging his spray you are god like sir you better be at the top of the e-peen boards!! Id rather not rely on direct hits in the middle of a fire fight its about team work and suppression... An assault and I can knock a heavy's **** in the dirt with 2 AOE shots from myself... |

Actually I am . Go check the KD leaderboards and scroll all the way the 90-100. You will find me there. Typical troll. Each MD round does 240 base damage. That with 10% weaponry takes it to 264. 264*3 is 792 total damage. More than enough to take out a heavy.
LOL Thanks for doing the obvious math who said it wasn't enough to kill a heavy ? Learn to read bro.. I guess i shouldn't even of compared the heavy class in this post it catches the simple minded people like yourself who can't give **** for input.. |
