EVE pilots walk among you on the ground. I am one of them. Your corporation will be infiltrated. Your assets will be stolen. You will die to seemingly friendly fire. Your corporation will be disbanded. Your allies will turn on you. You will be subjected to socioeconomic warfare. Armies will be flattened into sheets of glass. Your clone won't die, but your spirit will be crushed. Are you ready? We are. ...
You don't play a lot of online FPS games, do you? |

you clearly don't know how corp mechanics work. Corp can indeed be disbanded without approval of the other 50-100 people in the corp. i believe his point was that most of those guys will stay in touch and just form another corp That is generally what happens with FPS guys.
Clan break up? Oh well, lets make a new one. |

Losing your corp and identity is a huge hit to morale. I'm not saying it doesn't suck, it does.
But a lot of FPS players enjoy hanging out with buddies and blasting the enemy in the face. If they can still do that with their friends then I doubt they'll just drop DUST.
In EvE, the measure of your power is your wealth.
In DUST it's your marksmanship. |

overlord presents them as some kind of scheming mastermind It also implies some semblance of intelligence, and, if what I've seen of the EvE forums is anything to go by, that's a very rare commodity in the EvE community.
I imagine all the higher ups in the more powerful corps bought it all up or something. |
