I play a logistics character and using this Inventory Wheel when holdIng R2 is horrible to say the least. I would much rather be able to cycle back and forth between my weapons and tools. It's not intuitive at all for a shooter. Anyone else feel that the wheel needs to go or be reworked for functionality?
It would feel so much better being able to quick click to grab the item that's in my belt. |

It works fine, you just need to get the hang of it. |

To cycle between the equipment that you posses would be to long. For instance, your running and gunning then a merc dies next to you. You revive then rep, while your at it you throw down ammo. The current wheel is perfect to select between 3 equipment slots if you have the upgraded logi suit. Depends on your choice with what you choose.
It would be annoying cycling through equipment and you would probably die faster then reviving another teammate. -1 on cycling
And it's beta stages, just give them time to implement more controls too the options. I mean why you think they actually put the option there in the options menu. Obviously we will have the option to change it. |

I agree, in far cry three its the same thing and its absolutely ******, just facing a random direction and trying to accurately get the right thing and getting shot in the process.
It'd be better on the D-pad for logistics, UP cycles primary (if you have 2), Left Down and Right you put your equips in
maybe not
how bout 'O' cycles primary.. no.. idk
I prefer cycling as well good sir but I dont think it fits in the game |

Nah.. It's fine as it is.
Just tapping [R2] gets you back to your weapon, or switches between primary and sidearm, and as Weingarten said above, it's fine once you get the hang of it. I only very rarely throw 'hives when I mean to get out my rep tool nowadays. ;)
sort-of-non-sequitur: I can't wait until we get friendly fire. Then the "failing to correctly switch to the rep tool and accidentally shooting a few bullets at your hurtin' buddy" thing will be goddam hilarious. |
