fully honest here, I had my 3rd 550k ISK dropship get killed by duag Uglys Vipara by ramming me so there I am on the receiving end of this but I will keep this a fair speech. 2nd i`ve allways wanted to say this when ramming someone else... RAMMING SPEED! (Ben Hurr quote)
ancidents/gained data:
3x: my 3k-5k HP sheilds 1k-3k armor HP gets desimated along with a Vipara at cruising speed- avasive manuever speed.
a ballord taps me and dropship goes down.
my dropship lands on a freinds dropship and hes blows up mine is landed (by a ballord, possiblity is his dropship hit the Ballord) mine has a 50% sheild reduction (just moments before we were talking whos ship was better..... i wonder who won :) ....).
dogfighted with blasters and when traveling under at chasing speeds I decreased my altitude beloow my oppenets dropship (nearly touching) and his blows up (I flied away safely).
I find that the nature / misc crashing is fine, I can`t do a 360 on a tower or drag my ship on the ground for kill but I can land on hostiles and get the kills that way, but I find an issue with the damage done in airborn love taps, which is EVRYONE DIES, I think the total HP (armor + sheilds) of the weakest ship should be subtracted from the strongest BUT speed magnifies damage so in some accasions a pilot can fly away in his all out proto ship rather then die with the un modified Vipara. |

Ramming needs to be fixed. I've seen tanks (and my own standard LAVs) get destroyed by both suicide rams from the other team's starter fit LAVs, or by getting hit by careless blueberries. |

Not what I originally meant to say, but as long as I'm writing in this topic:
Probably the current "everyone dies" is sorta overdoing it. Probably doing a straight subtraction is underdoing it a bit, you'd expect explosion/impact to count for something too. I'd support something more like weaker ship dies, stronger ship looses 1.5x or 2x combined shields+armor of weaker ship. |
