What's my incentive to repair ****? to hack objectives? to win a random pub objective game? You'll have to excuse me if that doesn't motivate me very much.
I realize Dust's persistence, scope, and vision are all exciting and the future of the FPS genre, but remember when games didn't give you XP/SP or even log your stats and people played just for fun and to get better? Yeah, those were crazy times. |

*Edited* as my suggestions in this post should be apparent and the post itself didn't sit right with me. |

Yeah, those were crazy times. If the game wasn't literally centered around SP, I would have no issue playing this game "for fun."
You don't find the battles actually fun by themselves? |

If you give up at 1000WP then you'll be surpassed by those who haven't maxed their SP and thus get a smaller share of the ISK. Even if you've already got a ludicrous amount of ISK, just try to keep your earnings at a consistent level. Pick a statistic (or all) and try to work on it. Just make sure if it's KD/R that you're not going after it to such a degree that it's detrimental to your team. I'm just throwing these out there as a alternatives you can play for, I know they're not as enticing an incentive as notching SP. I have tons of ISK and my KD/R is 3.25. honestly can't think of a legitimate reason not to idle after hitting 1K WP. I'll still get my ISK idling or not, so again, what's the point?
Well sir, perhaps Dust isn't the game for you. Your ISK is actually tied to your performance in game. If you come in 16th on your team you're getting pittance, but if you feel you've got enough then it wouldn't matter. |
