I really shouldn't hold it against you, but when you had a squad of 4 members bring in 4 highly spec'ed tanks in ambush, and then used them to defend each other to make sure nobody could take a tank down (12 NPC corp players on the other side) I lost a bit of respect for your corporation.
It's Dust, It's War, it was a smart move. My opinions and romantic ideas of respectable combat don't apply I know. OP asked why some people dislike you guys. I think a lot of people dislike your play style because to them it really ruins the fun of a match. It's possible to have fun while losing. Taking four tanks into a casual match where the other team can't organize well enough to take down 4 tanks supporting each other (a pretty hard task) makes the match really lame for the other side. I'm sure you have fun going 50-0.
I suppose that incident coupled with how much your CEO used to whine about vehicle users (dropships) ruined the game, and real Dust mercs used guns made the whole situation a little to ironic.
You guys seem to have a lot of players, and your stats suggest you are skilled. Although shooting npc corpers in tanks is not what I define skill as. I can't really judge what you are saying about how you win all the time because your leadership failed to apply to the only real Dust tournament, and other Corps are calling you out for rage quitting out of a match you were losing. |

It's how your CEO acted like he was in the special olympics after you didn't get into the tourny. You were more or less the laughing stock of the forum for weeks. The reason he didn't get in was probably because he was so rude to CCP and other players, he got banned from the forums for not being able to conduct himself like an adult two days before the sign up was announced.
He then proceeded to totally disrespect all but 4 of the corps that signed up saying they were jokes ect ect. Later attacking veteran MAG clans on their match performances.
If you want to dig up the real reason your reputation is terrible this post is a good starting point, or just search quickgloves. Your leaders tends to be a large part in the persona the group takes on.

Should you have been in the tourny yes, then again if I worked at CCP and saw an email from quickgloves I probably wouldn't have opened it either.
To be fair he has been keeping a low profile recently, and seems to be focusing a lot more on building STB rather than starting drama and calling people out. It's a promising change to be sure. |

What is HAYDEN THE GREAT was just an alt char that someone got into STB for the express purpose of making a post so outrageously naive that the community wouldn't be able to help themselves. They would have to rehash all the dead drama for new members to see. It would attract all the negative STB energy into one place on the front page of the forums. It would get bumped constantly and sit there for days if not weeks as STB members defend themselves from the hate and the back and forth continues.

He needed a quick diversion from the whole orbital event thing turning into a big negative PR thing a few days before his run for CM. So he decided to get everyone's attention back on the historical bad guys of Dust, STB.
Please let my Dust fan fiction start an actual war!

I just realized this is not Dust fan fiction, but rather Dust fan 'fan' fiction. I need to reevaluate my life. |
