You are not allowed to mod MMOFPS games that's considered cheating in all of them.
As for reasons.
1 Xbox said F-off we're not bending over to allow you to connect this game to your servers, it must be on xbox live servers only.
2. PC game would compete agianst Eve-Online the only constant stream of revenue for CCP at 65 million a year. They have to pay the bills.
3. Sony litterally begged Dust 514 to be exclusive. Last rumors about Dust 514 is slated to become a 'launch' online title for PS4 and work of the PS4 client has already begun hence the slowdown of new builds from 6 weeks to 10 now and chances are since exclusive contracts are usually per year would mean that 2015 earliest we can see a PC title provided that dust 514 remains fiscally sound investment.
4. Sony has made extensive policy changes to make Dust 514 possible on console and for dust 514 alone it be a shame to waste all that money in changing policies and wasting it all. Most of these contracts are anywhere from 50 to 100 million and sony gets royalty on sales made though the store.
5. CCP wants to advertise Eve Online via dust 514 and increase paying player base but thats nearly all businesses goal just ccp is rather passionate on how they want to do it. We're currently sitting at 475,000 Active Pilots and have about 10% retention rate. (4 million pilots made so far in eve online about but this counts disposable alts as well) So if PC release came out too many player may quit Eve Online and destroy both games. If dust 514 becomes a smashing success and increases people who try and stay in eve online you may see an eventual PC launch.
6. If xbox lightens up and psn contract expires they can port Dust 514 to Xbox as well. |

they look down and said "hey, i think i could use a hole there"
now they have a rather dead FPS on a console that will be replaced shortly. Can you back these claims up with any evidence at all?
Let me help here.
Rumor has it that the new project titan from blizzard is an MMOFPS set to compete against either planetside 2. Since the popularity of blizzard games is extensively massive and that blizzard does have 10 years of mmo building in their belt they can release a rather comprehensiveness MMO FPS game capable of killing off planetside 2 entirely.
Planetside 2 has a 6 month road map full of features that would make just about any fps shooter mad and red and heck since the core issue with that game is 'why win, ergo why play?' is not being addressed at all. Instead we are seeing a large number of whines being addressed by players unwilling to adapt and a generic increase of laziness as they introduce new guns and vehicles that are the same across the three factions and are not even considering half of the goals Dust 514 is going twoards. All in all a new vehicle, a new pistol and smg and launcher, few cannons for the sunder and one continent and making it harder to lose.
Meanwhile Call of Duty is making another iteration back to ww2 it seems with a new studio in charge, they have yet to release a cod title as the main developer, many feel they would just rip the mordern warfare 3 engine again and do what tryarch does. Copy and paint over. While offering no new game breaking strides that makes it stand out as a real sequel. The last such iteration was the progressive system in cod 4. Its expected that mw2 servers will be shut down by then.
Battlefield Bad Company 3 is scheduled to be out soon and by gawd its the worst idea once again and its expected the multiplier would be a slightly spruced up version of BF3s current. Also Battlefield 4 is currently in the works now and it may most likely get delayed to shift over to the new console. Battlefield's new plan is to release a new title every year to compete with the likes of Call of Duty.
Fallout 4 (RPGshooter) is going back to Washington waste lands however it may not be out this year.
As for other shooters... on any platform there is nothing that's going to make them big in 2014. Halo wars 2 is said to be out in 2014 to meet microsoft's annual title goal. As well as possible season 2 of spartan ops for halo 4 to keep the fans happy. Halo 5 may not be out until 2016.
Matter of factually most titles mentioned above will get drowned out by thier newer versions in 2014 and 2015 subsequently so who gives a damn? I mean look at the original MMOFPSers for PC. Huxley, Planetside 1, and Global Agenda are all getting or has a sequel which usually indicates a royal screw up somewhere and that some sequel is going to fix it. |

Anyone with a high internet bandwidth can handle a simple circle shooting another circle in rediculous vs rediculous numbers.
Now slap on different gun properties and soldier properties and well.. that number reduces with every new stat track, or combat variable and then dimension and state.
In theory the 128 vs 128 as mag did it is quite possible on xbox because mag cheats. matter of factly all console games try to cheat anyway they can in order to maintain performance standards. |
