Why would anyone want to run this suit? Really?
One less equipment spot. No upgrade or changes to shields and armor....it's just faster w/ more stamina. No CDP or PG upgrades either.
It's basically a poorly shielded Assault suit at this point. No additional hardpoints.
I don't get it |

Basically, you sacrifice 25% equipment versatility to gain mobile versatility. 33% equipment versatility He's talking prototype type2/1 Its 3 equipment instead of 4
ok...
Logi 1 has 3 equipment slots, Logi II has two. That's a 33% decrease in equipment slots.
Medic? Yeah, good luck with that. Allow me to expand further:
When I moved up to the Logi I suit I was super jazzed, Because now I could throw out a Nanohive and carry the medic gear. Awesome! couldn't wait to try it out. See, for my Articifer loadout I had replaced the Injector with nano hives. Simple fact is, there aren't a lot of opportunities to get someone up on DUST for a lot of different reasons:
1) Big maps, I mean, they're just huge, you may not always be around the group. Especially in Skirmish, which is what I play predominantly. 2) The way the "Soldier needs rezz'd here" indicator shows up...it's not super accurate. 3) Never fails, 2m from the downed teammate, he hits bleedout. Part of this, I think, is because there is no "roam around view" for the downed soldier. The other day I was in an ambush match and guys were auto bleeding out. 4) There's always someone just waiting for you to bring him back up...and then you look like the ******* just going for 60 points when they just die again. 5) Personal issue: I am very fortunate to play in a large clan with some really awesome players. They don't die all that often. And when they do, it's practically useless to try to bring them up because whatever killed them is going to kill me even faster. Also, as a squad, we run out of ammo more than we die. As long as I keep repping the team, I practically NEVER uses an injector. I actually run with two nano's and a repper and am seeing larger point returns and as a squad we seem to be doing better.
So from my perspective, moving faster doesn't mean anything considering the 200+points I'm practically guaranteed to get per round. I'm actually heading back to the resupplies several times a game to switch suits to get more hives if thing's are going well for us.
Now, once we get larger teams and squad on squad action is more common, a nanite injector in pub rooms might be more valuable.
For me, Logi is more about healing and supplying than playing defibrillator. Granted CCP has made it worth it's while to be one at 60 SP per rezz, but it's implementation is not so viable at this time.
PS: I should note, there was no one in my clan on MAG that had more Golden Crosses (15 rezz's in a game) than I did. It's not like I don't know how to play the role.
I guess it comes to your personal situation. For me, at this time, 3rd slot > speed. |

0 Try Harder wrote:The VK1 is faster than any assault suit. It's like a hybrid between Assault and Logi. This suit seems to be better for a more offensive logi. Remote explosives, prox mines, and whatever else CCP will add in the future. Medic logi can carry medic stuff, and assault logis can carry assault stuff so assault can focus on mods/weapons instead of equipment.
Move speed helps a lot. VK1 logi is between assault and scout.
Type 2 logi suit... meh. Many suits have one that sucks. IE the assault dropsuit that comes after type-II... useless.
And VK1 Logi has 4 Hi and Lo slots, giving the ability to pile on the tanking.
The type II suit is just as squishy as the Type I....so basically you move faster towards your untimely death. |

I tried this suit last night. While the increased speed was night, I felt totally gimped and had to make three different fits for it.
Still no likey. |

I don't get it Its great for sniping. You already have improved speed and stamina and hence dont need stamina mods when you have this. You have the option of 4 x 66 shield and 1 CPU upgrades with 2 x 115 armor and 1 Complex armor rep. Thats 494 hit points there itself. That with the 20% in movement penalties makes you light and fast. If you equip a proto AR or laser you can pretty much hold your ground. Overall you are looking at almost 900 HP with little or no movement penalties. I thought we were talking about Logistics Type-II suit here? Type II suit has 2 high and 2 low slots.
I was talking about the type II, he moved onto the Tier 5 A spec or B spec |
