They repair infantry armor (and shields? Maybe?)....so my question is does the driver get repair pts when someone hops in their LAV and get their armor repaired??

Ok so then they will get points for repairing if it is a module then. Thought infantry just has to jump in the lav and get auto repped |

From my experience a couple of builds ago, the logi-lavs had a built in infantry repair module: shields for the caldari one, armor for the gallente one. This module took up no fittings and didn't show up in the fitting window so you couldn't replace it.
Either module outputs an absurd amount of HP/second, healing any class of dropsuit to full in a couple of seconds, and making them damn near invincible if they weren't taking concentrated fire. It could even lock onto multiple dropsuits at once if they held still long enough.
To use it, you had to go through the same lock on thing you have to go through with the other vehicle remote repair modules. On an unpredictably moving pro fps player.
Then, once you're finally locked on to the heavy with 10% armor remaining, which is the only class of dropsuit you are going to realistically be able to lock onto long enough to activate the module, THE **** BRAINDEAD **** **** ******** WILL INVARIABLY TURN AROUND, HOP INTO YOUR LAV, WHICH WILL BREAK THE LOCK, FORCING THE MODULE INTO 30 SECOND COOLDOWN WITHOUT REPAIRING HIM AT ALL. WHY DID I EVEN SPEND A MILLION SKILLPOINTS UNLOCKING THIS-
Oh sorry, I thought I had gotten over that.
Anyways, that's pretty much how it functioned back then, I don't expect it to have changed too much though hopefully the mechanism for locking onto allies is easier now. It did seem that way when I tried fitting remote vehicle repair mods on a LAV the other day. |

So in order to repair someone's armor you have to use the Remote system or does it work when they enter the vehicle too?

Remote system. I personally believe they used to be extremely worth the massive pile of SP (god mode for whoever is smart enough to work with you), however someone said earlier this build that they're missing the repair system now or something like that. |

a clanmate skilled into the caldari logi LAV a build or 2 ago and he said that the shield reps did NOT give points.
no idea if that's been fixed, if i had to guess i'd say it has something to do with the fact that we have no handheld shield transporters but we do have handheld armor reps. |

Why can't everyone just STOP respawning when i'm 10 feet away about to res them UGHHHHHH!!!
Why can't people get in my dropship instead of running from point START to point E!
Why can't people stand still for 10 seconds to get the rep i'm giving them!!!!!
tl:dr Logi's are not typically good in pub games because of newberries (As If I'm any better[Why yes I actually am, I don't complain about every weapon being op because someone killed me in my militia dropsuit]) |
