1. EVE Online takes place in space. Perhaps a transport ship collision with another enemy transport ship. Battle takes place aboard two ships entagled from the collision. (i.e Clone ship vessel under attack by destroyer or Major Corporate ships docked ith space stations) Some of the ships in Eve Online are huge. Larger ships are sometimes attacked by kamikazi ships.
2. Major corporation vessel crash lands (good landing or ugly) and many resources or corporate secrets must be obtained. Corporate secrets can turn into a capture the flag senerio. As can "drug" runs etc. Think of the basic missions in EVE Online and even advanced ones and consider the thought... "How could this be placed in a FPS concept?"
3. Attack enemy corporate space stations. Each objective taken by the attackers open addition shields and bulkhead doors to dive further into the station. This would be a defend the position senerio. Occassion decompression moments.
I just had an addition thought. If DUST 514 ventures into space/low gravity maps I would suggect to explore some combination of vertical maps. Imagine starting on the top of a major corporate carrier and going vertically down to the objectives thru open decks, fighter bays, from barracks to cargo to engineering etc. A vertical aspect woud make a diverse fighting environment that conventional games (Modern Warfare, BF3, BF4, etc cannot do)

talking about gravity: that would be cool but I allready see complaints like "Halo jumping" and rightfully so.
as for the maps, DUST514 is specific to planiteary conflicts so space stations and other maps in space are out of the picture, but a crash site on the planet would be cool as a building plot |

There is already an official thread for this type of suggestion. Personally, those are strong ideas, but they need to go in the right thread. |
