I don't know why we don't have more threads about this.
Missile turrets in the first build we're awesome, alot of splash though but awesome.
At current they are next to useless and they should be either buffed or removed entirely.
How many have tried the "New" launchers on tanks? The range is horrid, the missiles aren't focused and scatter everywhere, the damage especially the splash is terrible, maybe not so much the damage but due to the splash and scattering of missiles its terrible.
In eve missiles have good alpha, lower dps and great range. On dust they have nothing, After the wipe I haven't seen one missile tank, or missile installation being manned when they used to be the go to installation of choice.
Before the wipe, I only saw 1, and I thought to myself, that fool.
During the original build missile tanks were everywhere, I'm not saying bring back everything for them, but the original missile launch design should be put back. Splash damage should be double what it is now. Range can stay short I suppose and be like the blaster cannon imo, since rails are long range and I'm sure lasers will be too.
Or give is like rails\blasters. HAMS\HEAVY missile launchers.

Exactly, and my alt is going for the sagaris, but what will happen 1v1 a surya. Get raped and not stand a chance with blasters or missiles. |

Gallente in general has low kinetic resists. Which equals missiles are great against them because missiles are kinetic.
Now Amarr tanks will gobble up caldari tanks, while minmatar is usually versatile, shields or armor. Gallente tanks will eat Amarr tanks because of low thermal resists, and amarr tanks won't really hurt the Gallente due to high em resists.
This is a fundamental flaw that people just don't see, ur right. We are missing the other tanks, we're missing the tanks that balance the others we have out. |

That would be nearly perfect! They used to produce kills as a respectable weapon. Now they are just broken and have been for awhile. Those threads have gone nowhere, got no replies, no remarks in the bug report or the request updates.
They seriously need some splash damage as even the Small Missile Turret that says it has more splash damage because of yada, yada, lies in the description produces no discernible change.
But what is the point of a buff when the Kitten thing doesn't work in the first place? You can get better explosions some place other than where you aimed. Not good enough. Fix it.
TL;DR
Use to work. Now they don't. How can you buff something that doesn't work?
Telling ya, original build was almost perfect. Have you seen the threads tonight? Pretty soon almost everything will be like the missile turrets. |
