Hello, I'm Looking for a clan to join. I could brag about my KDR's, drop in some comment about all sorts of mad FPS skills and tell you that I AM Committed to the core.
The truth however is this, I've been playin' games since I was a bairn, I'm no daft. When it comes to online play, I play to win. I couldn't care less about K/D or bullshit bragging rights. I'm here to kick back and have a bit of fun. I'm not even that committed, it's a computer game at the end of the day and if I can find a spare moment between work, the wife and raising the kids... then I'm in. I like to chat away on the headset, talk to familiar faces and crack a joke or two. thats all I need out of a clan. When I am there mind you, I'm a team player.. I'll take a bullet if it means you can capture that point.
If theres an event coming up, sure, I'll try to be there.. It's not always that easy though.. ever tried telling a 2 month old baby to wait for it's bloody milk?
So, any clans out there needing a guy with this mindset? I swear.. a lot by the way, I'm Scottish..I hear Swearing is in our genetics or something. |

Just looked up your recruitment thread.. Love the rules. None of this 'trial period' or Interview nonsense. No daft hundred tier in-clan rankings. I'm gonna throw you a line in game when I get a chance to jump on later. Cheers Buddy. |

Not to be rude, but you seem to not care enough for most major corporations who take themselves seriously...
For starters you should call them as they are, corporations, not as clans.
And this is not a computer game, Dust is PS3 while EVE is computer.
I agree with you on interviews and nonsense rankings being horrible...
With that being said, you got flair and energy and seem to know what you want out of it all, even if you're OP was rather nonchalant.
My corporation, Foxhound Corporation, doesn't have nonsense rankings although we do have an interview on our website (it's under maintenance), getting in does not require you taking it.
How do we function? Well we have three divisions. A Command division, a Strategic division, and a Battlefield division. Since you're new to Dust you would be placed into the Battlefield division as a field operative.
Field operatives join into squads where they work under the squad leader to complete squad tasks. Squad tasks are tasks given to the squad to keep players on their toes, build teamwork, and fund the corporation so that we in return may fund your squad for official missions.
If you would look like to know more, visit our thread https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=53089&find=unread
The contact information is at the bottom of the OP if you want to take it further...
Happy corporation hunting.

You should give Red Star a tryout. We have a couple fo Scottish players, a few UK players and some sheep shaggers from Wales. I cant promise you that you would be a good fit but I can promise you that someone will understand what you are saying.

Lol, the computer game thing, thats a dilect clash buddy, I've called everything from my nes to my my 360 a computer. I appreciate your input, I have however been messing around on Dust for a good while (Back when heavy's could rocket spam troops by shooting at the floor), So I know how the game plays and flows.
Right now, My attitude matches my commitment to corps right now, I understand this isn't going to be suitable for 95% of corps recruiting right now, and thats totally understandable. When I do get Online to play however, I like to put the effort in.. Nothing beats well executed teamwork in a multiplayer game. Maybe once the wee lass is a bit older and I can relax a bit more I'll get a chance to play more regular. Right now it's really just when I get 5 minutes. I'll look out for your Corp on the battlefield. Cheers again pal. |

Ahhhh it's a difference in dialect, lol I see.
:o Lol and excuse my misjudging of your experience.
I understand and I gotta love that honesty. You can still add me in-game as a contact or rather you can join the "Foxhound Corporation" chat room, which is simply for chatting with comrades, and we can link up for casual games. Much better to squad up than to rely on Blueberries who don't know what they're doing.

Yo! If I'm not too late, and you haven't already joined someone, I may suggest THE DOLLARS. We're a no requirement corp that focuses on teaching new players and improving the experience of Dust overall. Each merc receives ISK from the corp every month as well as a new recruit bonus.
We don't require mics or anything, although many of us own one. We're founded on the idea of trying to give players a boost into the game through funding and answering any questions new players have about the game. Many of our members participated in the closed beta and some played EVE for a while.
Our ultimate goal is to have enough members that any any given time, no one needs to play alone.
If you want to know more, or if there's anything else I can help answer, message me in game or check out THE DOLLARS recruitment forum post:
