Guys, this has been my complaint since pre-E3!
My god, the handling for LAV's SUCK! Whether using a controller or KB/M, the LAV's have the most squirrley handling of any vehicle I have ever used in any videogame to date.
WHY must throttle AND steering be mapped to the same stick? Right now there is no use for the right stick other than for camera control. Why can't you map steering to the camera stick, similar to Halo's Warthog?
I'm not saying this needs to be done with every other vehicle. I think the HAV and the Dropships handle fine, but because of the rapidity in which LAV's move and because of the uneven terrain, the handling of even a slight course correction on even terrain makes my LAV almost flip over!
Also, even though it can be explained as "Not all planets have consistent gravity", why is it all sense of physics and gravitational logic seem to fly out the proverbial window when I get into an LAV? I don't even take the things off-road anymore, and I STILL somehow end up going turtle up when I hit the slightest bump. It's like my LAV is made of balloons.
Please fix it CCP. Everything else in the game is fine, I think. THIS IS NOW MY ONLY COMPLAINT. I cannot be alone in this.

What really grinds my gears is how easily LAVs spin when they hit even the slightest bump even at low speed. I don't know what mechanic built these things but the balance point is waaaay off. |

I loved my Saga until Chromosome dropped at which point hitting even the slightest bump in the road would cause the car to flip over onto the roof and then slide across the ground until it hit something before eventually righting itself. And also I think a guy with an AR killed me in it, even though it had 1700 shields or some such. I just gave up and don't even call in LAV's anymore. |

I tried driving the LAV's when I first started the Closed Beta and the controls follow that of Unreal Tournament and since this is the same engine maybe that's the reason why the controls are like that to begin with. Personally I can't stand the vehicle controls so I never drive one.
Personally I'd like to see the controls similar to any type of actual racing game - Left analog to steer, X to Go, Square to reverse...yadi yadi yada. Then you'd see me in a vehicle driving. But the control scheme now is way to klunky for my taste. |

i feel like instead of tires the lav should have hover jets. then the jumping and flipping could at least be realistic if not ridiculous.

Not really a true fix but i threw and MLT BPO armor plate on my baloch far more responsive and slightly less insane on the physics...
Albeit now when i hit max speed and that tiny pebble i go flying through the air and skid forever... |

Since lavs have no guns i propose to move the selection wheel to L1 and use R2/L2 for forward/reverse. Please. |
