With this new batch of noobs we need to do something about people that are vehicle stealing. I suggested this before but it's going to be a dilemma again. I jumped out to repair my armor cause im a shield tank. Well blueberry is like let me jump in and drive away. With not a clue on what do to with a tank. Didn't even turn on my reppers. End result someone got my tank blew up. Costing me 500,000 isk. Please make the vehicles restricted to owner driving only. PLEASE |

Dang. I thought that was going to happen. I noticed anyone could grab a vehicle when I approached someone's LAV. But losing a 500K tank to that blows. A nice application would be an option to select restricted driver/pilot access. Such as when deploying the vehicle or when it's inbound. You have to wait 15 seconds for it to arrive. It wouldn't hurt to spend 2 to 3 of the seconds selecting "Driver/Pilot restriction" (aka Only I can drive). I hope they consider. Your tank incident is a perfect example of bad this can be. |

Well... you really should have expected the bluedots to run off with it. Whenever i call in a vehicle i fully expect every single blueberry to zerg it and try to drive off in it.
although when i know forge gunners are about i like to call in my bluedot death mobile and let them steal it... |

Imagine a vehicle that costs 2 mil... that would really be upsetting |

I meant that in general i assume that if i so much as switch seats in a vehicle but yes every blue dot at all times exists to do one thing and one thing only. Steal your vehicle! they may pretend like they want to kill the reddots but i'm pretty sure all of them are just waiting for the chance to grab someones tank and go joyriding in it. |

shouldn't jump out without a squad mate ready to save your place.
if there could be an option to just leave tank open to squad members only so you can talk to anyone that jumps to the driver seat and the randoms can't even get in |

My idea is, when the driver opts to "lock" it, thieving blueberries have to hack the vehicle before they can drive off with it - at which point the game considers it theirs. If the driver is in the driver seat, then the lock is disabled. This way theft - which is part of the EVE sandbox - isn't ruled out of play, but it allows the driver to at least repair his ride without having some noob-berry drive it straight into a Forge Gun. |

My 2 cents.
Add 2 new options in the system settings (in the NEOCOM) for vehiculs using.
With this option, you can select one or more things in this list, for see who can piloting your vehicle :
[ ] you [ ] friends (contact)(allow them to immediatly piloting when deployed or you get out the vehicle). [ ] squad players (allow them to piloting after 5 seconds you have deployed it or get out it). [ ] friendly players (allow them to piloting after 10 seconds you have deployed it or get out it). [ ] all other choices are selected.
With this option, you can select one or more things in this list, for see who can be a gunner in your vehicle :
[ ] you [ ] friends (contact). [ ] squad players. [ ] friendly players. [ ] all other choices are selected. |

You shouldn't have left the keys in it, obviously.
Sorry, I kid, that does suck. For militia vehicles, it doesn't matter if anyone can jump in it, as you can always spawn another one... but for expensive, customized vehicles, it doesn't make any sense. The driver's seat should just be locked to the person that called it in, unless it's sitting vacant for like 60 seconds. If that means a vehicle is sitting idle and gets blown up because the original driver abandoned it and no one else can drive it, that's all the more incentive to hold onto the vehicles you spawn. Seems pretty obvious to me. |
