EVE has over 4 mil players, your claim is in actual fact how many log in at one time

Eve 350,000 players 30-50,000 online at once. 200,000 people log in every day.
Dust 750,000 players Who the **** knows
The impressive fact here is games like Guild Wars 2/WoW/EQ2 only allow for 6,000-8,000 people logged into a Server Shard. Even then they put you into overflow areas if too many people are in the city or field they make a new world and let the overflow into there.
No game even comes close to having 50,000 players logged into a single game world at once. And now us Dust players will be online as well in that world. Chatting send mail and using the same market. This is going to be ******* awesome. |

Yeah... that's all the mercs that have been created. They're tracking creation numbers. |

Assuming 3 characters for every player (one main and two alts) that would bring the number down to around 252,394 players. But not all players have alts and only CCP knows the true number of main players. Based on the population stats mentioned by CCP for Eve Online's player base, I suspect the actual number of main players to be around 350,000-500,000 players.
Even at the conservative 350,000 number, that is still significantly close to the current Eve Online population of 450,000 accounts.
OK wait, is it 750,000 accounts of characters. There is a HUGE difference. |

And it really is an impressive number considering that we've only just entered open beta. If player numbers keep growing like they do then we may just give WoW a run for it's money.
