I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to flag yourself as either a trainer/mentor and trainee (new recruit) prior to joining games. Trainees would be paired into a squad with a trainer and have their mic defaulted to squad. Trainers could automatically be squad leader and get a slight WP bonus in addition to squad leader commissions. Also, trainers could get a small extra stipend like an additional +10% isk for their help in training.
You could only flag yourself as a trainee before having like .75 mill SP, after 2 mill SP, then you could train others. New players could automatically be flagged as trainee as well. This way, you could get people intentionally connecting in pub matches a little better. |

Great except for the SP levels. With the currently choked supply of SP over the last 15 days I suspect a lower count would be more realistic.
I only have 1.4 currently and only because I can push to the cap fairly consistently and some boosting.
Maybe 30,000 WP as a beginning trainer or almost anything besides SP.
SP actually means nothing these day as it is farmed by sitting around doing nothing, boosted for that as well, gained passively sp with a boost can mean that someone could not play much at all with the intention of not even trying the game until they have 2M SP. Which isn't a bad idea, just not one that interests me.
My trusty calculator indicates a month of SP farming and only the Passive SP is worth 2.5M SP and that is with no WP being earned. Four weeks of Passive SP Boosting bumps the total to 2.8M+ SP. For sleeping.
SP is not an indicator of anything related to skill. |

Yeah, you are probably right with regard to SP. WP probably would make good sense. Even without regard to skill a basic understanding of game mechanics, taking objectives, skilling and fitting, fighting on a budget, could all be things that need counseling and be done by people without a ton of FPS skill. |

War Points instead of SP being the factor in all of this makes more sense. SP really doesn't mean anything in terms of skill in playing the game. But WP shows how much you contribute to battle, as WP can only be gained through battle. |
