... wait ... wait ... click "Help Wanted" button ... wait ... wait ... look around; nope, no red dots using me as bait ... click "Help Wanted" button again ... wait ... wait ... wait ... hit "bleed out" button out of pure frustration.
(Sees blue dot rushing over)

Sinboto Simmons wrote:^tis why you run with a balenced squad
Hmm. I was under the impression that any old logibro on the battlefield could see a "downed teammate" syringe. But, yes, balanced squads are nice; not always obtainable with randoms, though, which are usually what I wind up with this time of the day. |

But sometimes it's not a logi, sometimes logi is used to carry things like mines, remote explosives and nano hives. He will not pick you up, obviously. And this message you see is from some scrub who picked Assault - Medic [STARTER FIT], but doesn't have a clue what's up. Also if you died in a crossfire and reds are watching you with no retaliation from our side -- you're on your own. Will not risk my squad to pick a suicidal random, sorry.
LOL. If you knew me GÇö and you don't, of course GÇö you'd know I'm pretty much the anti-thesis to a "suicidal random." After all, a logibro is no good sitting out there by him- or herself. S/he needs to stick with his/her squad or, at the very least, other blue dots. |

/c I'm thinking the same, I'm actually giving The New Bluedots a break for a while. As cute as they are, they're still stupid. Hopefully some great players can rise out of this influx of new guys.
Oh, that's pretty much a guarantee. They just need time to learn the ropes. In the meantime, Yoda I shall (attempt to) be. |

I see what you did there. In all seriousness, though, a "meters to xx" indicator would be incredibly useful. |

The dark cloud wrote:This is why we need team deployment. Im not accepting "blueberrys" as competent members from my team. Just stupid beyond believe. The trailer sayd that i can make a army so then i want to be aible to deploy a army and that is in my sense full team deployment (16 players at the moment).
Well, for now I guess all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that CCP is working on that sort of thing for future beta releases. One of the more immediate improvements I'd like to see are larger squad sizes GÇö six at a minimum and up to eight, ala MAG. That would be especially helpful when you have a larger number of corporation members online at once. |

Skihids wrote:Mostly I try to revive blue dots, but sometimes I'm too busy keeping my Heavy squad mate alive with a continuous repair stream to stop and take the time.
Sometimes the guy with the needle is otherwise occupied and may be quite a distance away. My advice is to have your own squad mate with a needle and coms and not rely on strangers.
Ha! It's a version of the old advice, "Don't take candy from strangers." Dust version: "Don't rely on strangers to bring you back into the battle!" |

Chibi Andy wrote:sometimes i think the "triage is nearby" message is buggy, reason being, the logi's will be on the ass end of the map but the message will pop up. like when im playing as a logi and i see a downed squadmate or blueberry, the syringe sign is on the other side of the map, so if i had to run over to revive him it might be too late.
LOL. Quoted for truth!
I'll be following my squad, keeping their armor and health up and, all of a sudden, the syringe symbol appears, seemingly nearby, on the map. "Oh," I think, "Well, that looks relatively close, and my little group of blue dots seems to be doing well, so I'll trot on over and get that downed blue dot back into the fight."
(45 seconds later)
"Good God almighty! These maps are so damn big, and I'm *still* trying to find that downed blue dot!"
At which point, to add insult to injury, I begin hearing screams of agony over the comm from my squad.
"Quill! Where are you, bro?! I'm low on ammo!"
"My armor! It's gone, IT'S GONE! Help me, Quill, help ..." BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! *death rattle*
At which point I go rushing back ... and get sniped.
