I have both Boosters going... annd i might be able to afford a worthwhile upgrade when the 7 days are up...
Doesnt make sense that no matter what mode you play, and how well you do... it will always be the same amount. You might as well ditch the whole SP thing and just say, "you need to fight X# of battles until you can choose another skill"
Also... wth is salvage and how do i get it. Because i have not once received bonus ISK from salvage. |

I like it slow. I'm in a game like this for the long haul. I want to enjoy different tech levels at every step of the way. The way it was a few builds ago a lot of people were well on their way to maxing out every skill in a year. |

Its not that im impatient. Its just where is the incentive to do good if all it takes is you to join a game?
I could literally, just join a game. Kill one guy. Then just stay away from everything and let people do the work for me. And the Loot Drop is random too, so honestly. I wouldnt miss out on SP win or lose, cause its still the same either way and probably would still get over 100k ISK at that. |

welcome to F2P MMOs... where they make grinding so painfully slow that youd either have to spend money to make it better (And better still doesnt equal bearable) or quit the game altogether due to playing for a week and feeling like youve made zero progress lol
thats the one good thing about sub MMOs they do a much better job at keeping you interested.. which makes sense considering they want your money every month so theyre gonna do whatever they think they have to to keep you playing for the next 8 years as opposed to getting bored with the game in 6 months or less |

Seven days of active/passive booster and meeting the SP cap would be over 500k SP. You could max out some skills in that time. Unlock numerous weapon and module types. If this is not rapid enough progression, you may want to look elsewhere for a game to play, as CCP plans on it taking players many years to max out the skills the game will launch with.

Yes, because EVE is totally famous for how it makes people grind to increase their skills. |

You are 100% right. SP you get inbattle is not effected by how well you do, it's dumb.well it is, and it is based on your skill. If you get 400 wp, then you get 400sp. However this really does mean you can log into a fight, kill one guy, and get 7,000sp for doing nothing. |

With Active Booster you get 40k SP a day (when you reach your SP cap for the day, you'll see 75sp after every game)
Passive Boosters gets you 36k SP.
In 24 hours you get 76k SP with Boosters. Without boosters you get less.
It's a F2P game, but paying for stuff will always benefit you in some way or the other.
So basically if you want more SP a day, you'll need to buy boosters with real money. Welcome to a F2P business model.
Edit: Salvage atm only comes in the form of guns, suits, or vehicles. Obviously if you don't have the skills to use the items, you can't use them. |

losers should get 1sp per 1wp
Winners should get 2 sp per 1wp
Or losers should get no slavage

I think at this limited stage, Skill 'grinding' in DUST is more relevant than it will be later on. Aside from a KDR, there is very little to it atm, and with everyone starting fresh again a short while ago, it becomes somewhat painfully obvious.
Just take a breather and come back in a few days. You'll still gain you Passive SP plus any Passive Booster bonus if you have it. Really, the skill system is intended to be secondary in EVE and Dust; something to help you accomplish your goals, and important enough in and of itself, but not the core of gameplay.
Coming from other MMOs that focus on the level grind to level cap that might be hard to become accustomed to, but ultimately, you just have to recognize that, in this sort of game, your actual achievements in game--the things you do--are more important than the skills that assist you in achieving them along the way. |
