Yoou can't switch between NPC corps - you're put in one depending on your race/blood line choices. |

Also CCP COULD and WILL are two different things, Id liek to know that they WILL as opposed to could, as for eve getting updated twice a year thats pretty bad for an MMO especially a pay to play one when other MMOs I know get updated 2-3 months which is 4-6 times a year
As far as NPC corp and race/bloodline goes.. is there anyway to play with (or against) a friend who choose a different bloodline and race and thus would be in a different NPC corp? and no one answered the war barge question lol
Squad up with them, join a channel, ect. Being in different corporation honestly means nothing if it's NPC. You're all in the same boat.
And CCP WILL be adding these features eventually.
As for the warbarge - didn't realize that was an honest question. It's just there as a timer really - these game modes don't reflect the true game. |

Hiei Jagan wrote:so i can squad up with ppl from a different npc corp? thats odd i mean what if their NPC corp and mine are fighting eachother in skirmish? i mean i would THINK when i do a skirmish these ppl on the opposing team arent ppl from my corp.. if it is then human created corps can do the same? if so that would make backstabbing (and spying) pretty easy wouldnt you say?
"Hey lemme just join this corp while Im in another cor thats sure not the set off any red flags!!" lol
Also you said NPC cops are "ine the same boat" so what boat are non NPC corps in? i..e whats the difference between the two other than one is NPC corp and the other is player corp.
War bare is just a timer? that sucks I figured it was a "neutral" 3rd person lobby where I can walk around and see (and talk too) other players without being in a combat environment and form friendships/alliances etc etc for when the sh!t finally does hit the fan
So basically in its current stat when youre not in your "apartment" (more like closet) outfitting your suit and vehicles and playing with your skill points, then theres nothing else to do in this "mmo" besides fight?
I mean Im sure in EVE you can go a full 24 hours and see no combat at all but still accomplish plenty of things (and no allocating your skill points and outfitting your ship =/= accomplishment.. and even if it did if i took you a full 24 hours to do that something is wrong lol)
I think another thing they should add is when we own a territory or planet make it so that we can "lounge" in said territory when its not being attacked, to test out weapons, get the hang of operating certain vehicles, build defenses (automated and otherwise) around the base, basically ACTIVELY prepare ourselves for when the time comes that we have to defend it again. Welcome to Dust.
NPC corps have no meaning - it's really just CCP's fun way to divide people - they hold no real meaning right now. People in player made corps tend to be much more mature and skilled then NPC corp players, and it's a lot easier to find a squad. Plus player run corps can take districts/planets. |

Hiei Jagan wrote:so in the games current stage player corps can take district/planets whereas NPC corps dont? also what is the benefit to owning a district/planet? Actually owning it means nothing to us Bunnies - but to EvE it means a ton of resources they can harness.
We just get paid big bucks to go down to the planet and mess stuff up :)
And correct - NPC corps don't do jack. Their just place holders till you find a real corp. |

Their just place holders till you find a real corp. now thats what i like to hear.. now that we know how we benefit EVE, teh question now becomes how does EVE benefit us? outside of lining our pockets.. like maybe an EVE player getting better resources due to our actions means we can get better salving results baaed on their resource output/level.. or maybe if we got armor/weapon production what we can or cant produce is based on what resources an EVE player can get due to our involvement in getting a planet for em etc etc That's all pretty much going to be added. Most gear if not all above militia level will be player made. Or at least there will be a player market where EvE sells toys to Dust. |

Im ding to see the "excuse" when the game finally launches and still not even half of that stuff is in it... or will this be one of thsoe F2P games that are "in beta" 4-5 years with no plans of ever NOT being in beta... which imho a beta shouldnt have item malls/micro transactions open for business, save that for when teh games "done" You could buy minecraft accounts while it was still in beta. |
