Trying the Beta last night, and find the marketplace layout and fitting convoluted to say the least. As an idea, when looking at a location on a dropsuit, when fitting, and it says go directly to market - How about it takes you to what can be fitted to that location on the Dropsuit / Vehicle? I spent a lot of time guessing, or excessive amounts of reading just to figure out what could be fitted to a slot, and I'm not even sure I can remember what can be next time I want to purchase a new module. Thanks, -Jlav- |

I see what you are saying but this game is about choice and the in most slots there are so many options for each slot it would be hard to go to that location,
you will soon get used to it |

Okay, I get that customization is a huge part of Dust. What I'm suggesting is making use of a tagging system of some kind, so that when I "go to market" from a "light power module" slot for example, the options shown me are capable of being fitted to that slot. It is a simple mechanic employed by many games already, and would not damage the market's customizability, but aid the customization of my suits and vehicles. This is an idea that could be implemented in the final form.
Here's an example: I bought a jump ship, and several turrets that turned out to not be able to mount to the vehicle. That was a waste of money that left a bad taste in my mouth.
In BF when I go to spec 1, the only options given are things I can fit to spec 1. Simple. There could be 500,000 options, but they could all be fit to spec 1. |

Helpful Hint: When you highlight a module/turret/other fitting spot, It will tell you the specifics of that spot, like whether it can fit heavy turrets or light turrets, low mods or high mods. Also you need skills to access modules and other gear of higher tier.
The market right now is overly-simple and does not exactly pair with our fitting screens all too well but it's going to be fixed in the future. For now all you can do is familiarize and do the workaround as we have for the past months.
I recommend doing all the tutorials which are found on the Neocom under help |
