I, being carried the whole match by this automated blaster turret. when some guy runs right past it ......
and the automated turret misses him, then he kills me!
if the turret wasnt so stupid, i would not die
i'm like wtf they need to fix the AI on the blaster turrets to hit running targets better yes? |

perhaps you would consider a reduction to the strafe speed then so the automated turret could have a easier time hitting it's target? |

Also I get sniped by unmanned rail gun installations, the AI is more accurate than a human. |

i am speaking on the behalf of us players who like to seek the protection from AI, we are a small but vocal bunch and our voices will be heard in new eden, perhaps we should lament and lobby to have precision strikes become AI based. when we say we want better AI we also mean by that we want more AI. there is no choice between quality/quanity there is only both |

I agree with this. Nothing should be automated in this game, at least nothing capable of killing players should be automated. Save the AI for Drone Infestation. |

What? ANY AI they can add to this battlefield of repetitiveness is good. You guys are either insane, heavies, or just bad. Turrets doing there job, if anything we need to be able to deploy them ourselves >: ) |

Why don't you seek protection from your teammates instead of the computer? This is the chickenshit I'm talking about. People can't play decently so they hide behind an automated player that has top notch precision and awarness. F*ck you, use the turret or die by it. Why is computer assistance even considered in this situation? Why?

I disagree, eventually we will be dropping these down in when maps become larger to defend specific areas. We shouldn't have to waste manpower to make them something more than an ornament. That said, they should be less effective when they are unmanned, perhaps something like more bullet spread.

A.I. Does Not Belong Multiplayer FPS Battles. If I want the game to kick my ass I'll play the single player experience. If I want a living bag of fat to kick my ass I'll play the Multiplayer experience. |

You seriously don't want any AI in your games? Go play CoD or BF3 then. I want a game that's much more then an average FPS, and AI could add so much to every aspect of this game.
And saying what belongs and doesn't belong based on past experiences means nothing. CCP is doing new things never done before for a reason. |

You'll have more people to shoot turrets if you end up fighting on larger maps.
Although, there's a solution to this that would work in everyone's favour. Having a remote turret interface structure, which allows people playing on defence to remotely take control of turrets their team has deployed, would help minimize the number of people you'd need on defence on larger maps (a job that can be really boring) while also not making turrets utterly useless of they aren't manned. Letting one person jump from controlling turrets anywhere on the map, or anywhere within range of the interface structure, would probably satisfy both of our concerns. |

Blaster turrets are kinda ******** in a way though...
They will shoot until they overheat, and then stop shooting.
Railguns though...you can be driving past them super fast and boom you're dead. |
