I feel bad for the people from eve who have wasted their life almost a decade playing it, actually it makes me laugh.i understand playing dust for the next 4 to 6 years but after more than 8 or 10, just get a ******* life..please
LOL. Most people have lives and love playing games. I spend anywhere between $500 to $1000 gaming every month. I also live the good life, have my own house, shag buddy and swimming pool. I travel 3 weeks of the year to various countries and travel locally too. I am enjoying life and enjoying it gaming.
I have been playing games for over 20 years and will still play till I die.
Dont feel bad about people who play games and spend a good amount of money on them. We got the money to spend and thats why we do it. |

Kalante Schiffer wrote:i understand new people becoming interested and old players keep on playing because of all the options ccp has gave them, but once a player keeps playing the same game for over 10 years is ridiculous, the idea of a person playing for such long time is just pathetic in a way that in ten years one could of had achieved something greater and enjoy real life instead of their fake reality.
Its called entertainment dude! Some people like to drink and **** their money away, some like to smoke and burn their money away and there are others that just like to game their money away.
You will prolly understand this better once you are done with college. You will end up in one of 2 scenarios;- either you will have more money than know what to do with it or you will be living pay cheque to pay cheque. Either way you will want to entertain yourself;- be it spening $50 on a blowjob from a street hooker to $1500 on an all-nighter with a classy call girl or be it $5 on a cookout burger and soda or $ 500 in an upscale New York restaurant or a $200 trip to the beach or a $5000 vacation to Galapagos you will end up spending money on entertainment.
Entertainment is what we define as to help us distract from the normal humdrum of life. For some its gaming. It doesnt mean they dont have a life. No lifing is being on the game for hours every day. Playing a game for 10 years is not no lifing it. It shows that the game has potential or the person playing that game loves it so much that they want to play.
Enough said. Back to your books son! |

You have a very misguided view of us Eve Online players. Believe it or not, many of us Capsuleers have a life. A working life. We have wives/husbands, some kids of our own, we rent or own houses and we have careers of our own. It may be hard for you to grasp this concept of a person with a life spending 10 years constantly playing an MMO, but that's reality. We are not like those of WoW. This is Eve and internet spaceships have become serious business.
Some of us even have positions as managers in real life and these people can manage the complexities of Eve because of the challenge it presents to them and they all like a challenge. Some of us are even real-world economists and corporate auditors. It may not be apparent to you, but if you ask around you will see that a sizeable portion of the player base have serious lives like you want us to have.
Yet here we are playing 10 years later in a game that directly challenges other MMO on a grand scale because of OUR efforts. +1 |

You are who your friends are and thats why its important to be a part of a corp that understands that RL is more important than no lifing a game. I say pick your friends/corps wisely. |
