I-Shayz-I wrote:100 mil sp / 10 years = 10 mil sp/yr
10 mil sp / 365 days = 27,397 sp
The daily cap is set at 27,200 sp per day.
Coincidence? For clarification purposes, this is ONLY the amount of ACTIVE sp a player could get. This total is also without the boosters. So how much sp would a player get per year with this cap?
Active sp: 27,200 x 365 = 9.93 mil sp Passive sp: 24,000 x 365 = 8.76 mil sp So roughly 18.7 mil WITHOUT BOOSTERS
What about with boosters?
Active sp: 40,800 x 365 = 14.89 mil sp Passive: 36,000 x 365 = 13.14 So about 28 mil with boosters
Now this is assuming that the player did in fact play every single day and get to the cap, or played as much as possible to get the most sp. A casual player might only get about 10 of that 28 mil. Either way, CCP wants this game to last a while, so I'm guessing that this recent sp cap is the pace they want to set for this game: 10 mil/yr i dont want to play this game for years... in two years by then ill be getting two associates degree and probably go travel to japan and enjoy real life. I feel bad for the people from eve who have wasted their life almost a decade playing it, actually it makes me laugh.i understand playing dust for the next 4 to 6 years but after more than 8 or 10, just get a ******* life..please

crazy space 2100046106 wrote:kalante, do you even understand how much content eve pumps out? It's the only MMO with a growing subriber base. the ONLY ONE. I think there is a damn good reason for that.
In 10 years dust will look just as good as games made in 10 years. There will be mountains of content, air to air battles over gas gaints, Gaint robot mecha, New graphics, new weapons, new maps, new game modes, lava planets, ocean planets with naval batles.
You don't seem to understand eve keeps dragging people back in becuase it's the only mmo that grows. Now there are two mmos that grow. So sad that no one else thinks putting real work into a released title is CCP.
And you level up over time, so you don't have to play for 8 years straight. you can take a 4 month break and come back to 4 million sp. I mean, good luck not wanting to try out the new features. Dust and eve are a service, not a game. We are promised full development on both titles as if they were still unreleased. And they have 10 years of proving they can keep up. Eve is amazingly different from release, it's not even the same game. i understand new people becoming interested and old players keep on playing because of all the options ccp has gave them, but once a player keeps playing the same game for over 10 years is ridiculous, the idea of a person playing for such long time is just pathetic in a way that in ten years one could of had achieved something greater and enjoy real life instead of their fake reality.

You have a very misguided view of us Eve Online players. Believe it or not, many of us Capsuleers have a life. A working life. We have wives/husbands, some kids of our own, we rent or own houses and we have careers of our own. It may be hard for you to grasp this concept of a person with a life spending 10 years constantly playing an MMO, but that's reality. We are not like those of WoW. This is Eve and internet spaceships have become serious business.
Some of us even have positions as managers in real life and these people can manage the complexities of Eve because of the challenge it presents to them and they all like a challenge. Some of us are even real-world economists and corporate auditors. It may not be apparent to you, but if you ask around you will see that a sizeable portion of the player base have serious lives like you want us to have.
Yet here we are playing 10 years later in a game that directly challenges other MMO on a grand scale because of OUR efforts. +1 Fine, maybe later ill understand.
