Hi,
Has anyone used the official [Dust branded] PS3 keyboard? (I'm assuming all the official ones are the same regardless of the Dust branding).
I was just about to order one but read a review on Amazon that said it only accepts input from up to 2 keys at a time, which for FPS use I suspect is going to be a problem.

Isn't that just a Sony keyboard with a DUST Merc Pack bundled and I'm guessing a DUST logo on it somewhere. |

Yeah, I bought it on a whim. It's like most PS3 peripherals, very well built, understated looks, and does what it's supposed to. Uses bluetooth like a controller (shows up as controller 6), and can sort of double as a pad in menus with basic buttons available by holding down a second key. No idea how long the batteries are going to last yet but it's likely to run for quite some time on the two AA batteries it takes.
Dust currently has some pretty big issues with keyboards at the moment (spawn point selection, inconsistent function in menus) but that's nothing specific to this keyboard, and will no doubt be fixed down the line.
Also, I've killed a whole bunch of people with the shotgun blueprint you get. Like all blueprints it's nothing special but you can convince yourself it has magic powers if you concentrate hard enough.
EDIT: No Dust logo (or any logo), the only affiliation with Dust is a voucher inside the box, and the only way you'd even know it was a PS3 keyboard is the tiny PS button in the bottom left corner that turns it on. |

Thanks, is it able to process more than 2 key presses at the same time though? |

I think I would have noticed it not being able to do that, so I'm going to go with yes. If I do notice a limit next time I play I'll update this. |
