Ok What gives CCP? I go 5/10 in my fairy suit and get 10 Balacs and 10 Wolfmans PCP. I got more rewards in my crappy alt than I got in my main with a friggin 7.2 KD.
I spend 30 minutes in a skirmish match an go 26-0 and get nothing! |

I haven't been getting squat in either ambush or skirmish lately in terms of loot/salvage, 9 times out of 10 I get absolutely nothing.
However I do notice that SP payouts in skirmish are much better than ambush. In ambush I generally average about 3-4k a match, but in skirmish it's usually 6-7k+ a match. |

I think it has to deal with smaller map sizes allowing more healing, killing and reviving. Ambush fights at the start are super quick, and in the middle a steady stream.
The goal is to get kills on both sides, so they both go at it nonstop.
One way to fix it would be have the total pool of isk fought over fixed between the match types, and scaling over how long it goes.. Then based on performance and winning it is distributed.

Random drop tables are random. Sometimes good stuff, other times bad stuff, and more other times nothing. |

Edit: but sametimes when i start match and i enter in the end of match, i have 0/0 kd 50-60k isk and some vk0 suits x5:))

I have noticed that trend too. The worse you play the better your chances of gaining cool salvage. I have been testing this out and it works like a charm. My alt keeps getting butchered. I manage to get in a kill here and a kill there and soon enough I get great salvage.
Rewards should should be based on performance. If someone is doing good in a match they should be appropriately rewarded.
In the end gamers like getting cool stuff. Now I just max my SP, switch to my alt and farm salvage and ISK in ambush matches. Thats not the way the game should be.
If getting better rewards means playing crappy everyone is gonna start doing what I am doing and there is not incentive to play well. |

Played 6 Skimishes today. No rewards in terms of Salvage. Kills ranging from 10 - 0 to 28 - 0. Didnt die a single time today in pubs (played a couple of corp matches and won both and died a few times in those).
Just played 3 ambush matches.
Game 1 : 10 - 4 with my trusty shotgun. 200K ISK No rewards
Game 2 : 10 - 5. Blew up 2 tanks. Didnt know which ones. 230K and 5 Carthun Scramblers
Game 3 : 0 - 2. Pretty much pwned by DeathFromAfar and ChicagoCubs. Rewards : 1 Surya
I mean common. Do I have to really suck to get all the cool stuff. Second time in a row I am proving that skirmish rewards suck and ambush rewards are far better.

Skirmish is an objective game. Your K/D doesnt matter, your team work to take the objective does. Gotta get past the K/D is the most important thing cause in this game it isnt going to be. |

Well I can tell you right now I'm not going to play crappy and give up isk sp rewards so I can get some dudes proto dropsuit I'm not skilled for and cant sell. And because u cant give ur main the loot from ur alt what's the point? |

First of all your KD does matter. Your KD doesnt matter when you loose.
Secondly;- I am not saying Kd is important. I am showing you the contrast in game play. When I went 28/0, I went 28/0 with almost 2700 WP. I should have got something for that. But NADA!
Thirdly;- WTF are we talking about KD when this topic is about Skirmish rewards vs Ambush rewards? |

Just create a 3rd alt and move that alt between corps. Once corp armories come in I will have all the cool stuff from my alts. As hopefully there will be no more resets, I get to keep all the cool stuff!
I have transfered over 5 mil ISK from my alts to my main this way. |

Nothing is random in code. It follows a rudimentary principle of trues and falses. Once you figure that out it aint that hard. |

Let's assume that it is really the case, that worse performance nets you better loot. (Can't really say anything except: "wtf dude, 28/1 K/D and only 280k isk? i had something around the lines of 14/11 K/D, with 1810sp once and got like 375k" <- skirmish by the way)
My theory would be that the game tries to balance out the standings, so that worse playerts get better equipment to be able to compete with the more succesful players. Since you yourself say that you are pretty damn succesful, the game thinks that you don't need wyirkomi af grenades, since you probably can afford way better equipment than the average.
edit: randomness is still easiest to code
pseudocode:
throw a coin
head -> give dem epic loot
tails -> give dem no epic loot
/throw
also it is a bit hard to compare ambush with skirmish loot if you keep bringing up your alts. It would be a meaning comparison if you played the same character in both modes, playing different chars in different modes doesn't give much room for direct comparison. It's ike comparing apples with venus, theres hardly a common ground. |

You know, while you're arguing about this topic. There are people in the in game chat room arguing that Skirmish rewards are better.
I personally play Ambush. The rounds finish faster. I earn more ISK in an hour of Ambush than in Skirmish. |

Since closed beta, the SP rewards seem to have gone down and the ISK rewards seem to have gone up.
Personally, I find ambush more frustrating because I'm often spawned among enemy. Therefore, I'll go for skirmish even though the rewards could be less per-unit-time. |

So many people missing the point of the OP - this is about salvage rewards. And to post my response - I am absolutely certain that it is absolutely random who gets the loot and also what the loot is. I've gotten proto tanks for deploying into a match on the victory screen and not even getting to spawn once. As a player with a programming background I can safely say it's much simpler to code than trying to create a system to decide who gets what and how much for doing what. |

This is how bad skirmish rewards are;-
Played a skirmish pub match yesterday and again had 2250 WPs. I went 22-0 and in the process my squad destroyed 3 tanks. I ended up being the leader with and had more kills than the next 3 people put together below me.
Salvage : NADA, 285K ISK
Played a random ambush matches.
Match 1: Went 0-2 with my alt. Salvage;- Surya
Match 2: 15-4 Salvage: 5 Carthun Pistols and 5 C9930 Forge Guns
Match 3: 12 -5 Salvage 5 Logi Vk0 and 5 Scout Vk0
Im telling you something is effed up out here. Atleast I am getting more salvage in ambush matches than Skirmish. |
