CORPORATION DESCRIPTION
Our corporation, Better Hide R Die (BHD), is a casual gaming clan that has been around for a number of years and played many titles, including Warhawk, Resistance, MAG, Killzone, Mass Effect, Starhawk and, now, Dust 514.
Members offer a mix of skill sets GÇö ranging from top-of-the-line gun skills to outstanding field support skills to combinations of both and more GÇö that, when employed together, lead to victory after victory on the virtual battlefields of competitive and cooperative gaming.
Teamwork, not skill level, is our primary focus. If you need help improving your skills and abilities, you'll get it in a friendly and welcoming environment. If you're already at the top of your game, but want an environment that isn't hyper-competitive or toxic, well, you'll find that in spades in BHD.
So, are you up for some fun? Then lock and load and step up to the plate. Your BHD tags await, clone.
CORPORATION LEADERSHIP
- Chief Executive Officer: Pilgrim Plymco
- President: Winscar Shinobi
- Directors: Phoenix Archer 128, Quill Killian and Shouper of BHD
The names of our leaders are their Dust 514 identities.
CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS
- Teamwork
- Mic (strongly encouraged, but some leeway can be afforded)
- Amiable attitude
HOW TO APPLY TO THE CORPORATION
Applying for membership to BHD from within Dust 514:
- From your merc quarters, hit the L1 button. This will bring up your Neocom, where you can select the "corporation" tab. From there, select the "search" secondary tab.
- This will bring up two more tabs: "Search" and "Friends Corporation." Select the first one.
- Type in the name of the corporation you're looking for GÇö in our case, it would be: Better Hide R Die
- Click on the corporation name that comes up. You will see "Show Info" and "Apply to Corporation." The first option will provide you with more information on the corporation. The second option brings up the actual application. When you apply to BHD, include your PSN identity (your Dust identity is automatically included, so don't worry about that) and, if applicable, the name of the person who referred you to BHD.
- Sit back and relax. BHD will handle the process from that point forward, and the odds are in your favor that you will become a member of the corporation.
Applying to BHD from the corporation's website:
Applying for Membership in BHD? Then Post Here!
CORPORATION ALLIANCES
None as of Jan. 21, 2013, but we are interested in such arrangements. If you wish to discuss an alliance, just notify the folks named in the corporation leadership section.

Overall, BHD has several hundred members. Out of those members, dozens are highly active. Out of the highly active members, we have more than a dozen in Dust 514 thus far, with more coming.
So, for the timebeing, we have a rather small footprint in Dust 514, Cowcerus. But it will grow. That's guaranteed.

We have fond memories of MAG. There were times in that game when we fielded up to 40 players at once. We'd literally swarm the bunker lines with those numbers, and it was great fun to hear horrified screams of "It's BHD!" on proxy chat when that happened.
In time, we'd like to be able to do the same thing on Dust 514, perhaps on an even grander scale ... especially if we wind up as part of an alliance. |

The next time you're on Dust 514, search for "Better Hide R Die" under the corporation tab. When it comes up, select the name and then apply.
If you wish to, also include a message in your application telling us how you came to discover BHD. Something, perhaps, along the lines of "Quill told me to do this, so here I am."
You can play a few rounds with us, and if you like what you see, you're more than welcome to hang with BHD. If not, we part ways and there's no hard feelings. Life's too short to get gray hair over a video game, after all.

The thread here has helped to kick-start BHD; we're up to 20 active members or so in Dust 514. Small, I imagine, by Eve standards ... but, hey, even the mightiest redwood started out as a seedling. |

Well, it's been several days since we began our recruitment efforts in Dust 514 ... and, I must say, we're doing fine!
Between the influx of BHD players from other games our corporation is active in and Dust 514 recruitment itself, we've reached dozens of active players. It's still nascent by Eve standards, sure, but our corporation president is feverishly working on earning the skill points necessary to keep up with the corporation managements skllls needed to oversee, well, a *growing* corporation.
Oh, and for what it's worth, here's a shoutout from one logibro GÇö me GÇö to a whole bunch of other logibros in L.O.T.I.S. You're a great bunch of folks to play with and against! |

As stated in the OP, BHD welcomes just about any and all players.
This especially holds true for players in North America who happen to play during the late-night and overnight hours GÇö say from 11 p.m. CST to 5 a.m. CST GÇö because, honestly, I get lonely playing mostly by myself during those hours. I blame my job for having such odd gaming hours.
So, all are welcome ... but especially fellow night owls like myself! |

*LOL* No, that's just the timeframe during which I'm usually online after I get home from work. On my two days off per week, I'm usually online during more "sane" hours.

As for our recruitment drive, well, it's paying dividends. We're up to 45 active members in Dust 514, and we continue to add folks as they apply. We've had upwards of 14 people online and in Dust 514 simultaneously GÇö in other words, three to four full squads on average. And, boy oh boy, does corp chatter pick up when that happens as folks sort out who's going where and what with squad. lol
There's no reason to be bashful, folks. BHD is a corporation with a reputation for a (mostly) relaxed gaming environment where we take players from fresh-out-of-the-academy recruits to tried-and-true veterans. Give us a shot GÇö if it works, awesome! And if not, hey, move on and no hard feelings. 'Tis the best of both worlds, folks. |

Uh-huh. Whatever. I'll keep that in mind the next time you're at death's doorstep and begging me to repair your armor.
On a somewhat more serious note, folks, BHD is a corporation that welcomes mature players GÇö and those we have in spades, ranging in age from teenagers to adults in their 40s. Within that group are single, carefree people, folks with families, other folks with families and jobs ... hey, BHD is a cross-section of America. We roll as a team, period, and we welcome folks with open arms and good-natured jokes.
Our numbers in Dust 514 continue to climb, with upwards of 60 active members as I write this. You can find us online pretty much during any given part of the morning, day, night and (more and more) even the overnight hours in North America.
What are you waiting for? Give us a "call" and we'll see where things go. As I said in the OP, your BHD tags await, soldier. |

BHD continues to enroll people left and right; our active group in Dust 514 is now in the mid-60s, and we're processing several applications almost every day.
BHD is a corporation that takes in players of *all* skill levels who show a propensity for teamwork, have mics (if at all possible) and are amiable in nature (take me, for example; I (crosses fingers) *never* say anything harsh about the other team). From logistics to assaults to heavies to snipers and more, BHD extends a welcoming embrace. Join our corporation, and you will find a great bunch of men and women who will teach all about Dust 514 while sharing laughs with you at the same time. Well, most of us; we do have a curmudgeon or two, but don't we all?
Need contact information? You can find it in this thread's OP! See ya'll on the virtual battlefields of Dust 514! |

Hey, Shinobi, I experienced a skirmish match that was a carbon copy of yours in terms of lag experience.
That said, I suspect it was on *my* side of the equation, since my PS3 had been on since Wednesday afternoon, and this was around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning after about six skirmish matches in a row.
Speaking of those matches, I had a blast with Wakko, Screwston, Villdoc and the various blue dots that rotated in and out after Villdoc was done for the night. One of the blue dots even had a mic and GÇö gasp! GÇö used it! 'Twas a most welcome experience!

I am bumping this, as is per my right as thread OP.
Well, that plus three other reasons:
1. To celebrate Daylight Saving Time and the leap forward by an hour (I shall, however, miss that hour of sleep). 2. It's early Sunday morning. Rise and shine, folks! It's the start to a beautiful new week. Unless you're where I'm at: sick and in South Dakota, where it's still the middle of winter. 3. And, most importantly of all, BHD's continued (and gradual) rise well into the Top 100 corporations in Dust 514 for corporation warpoints and more!
OK. I'm off to bed. The antibiotics are kicking in and making me really sleepy. |

So, if you're an insomniac GÇö or the kids are keeping you up GÇö at any skill level and you're looking to hang out with some decent men and women at 2 or 3 in the morning, feel free to submit an application to BHD. It's been said before, but it bears repeating: BHD is a mentor corporation that welcomes players of all skill levels. We teach while having fun at the same time. And for those players who already know Dust 514 inside and out, well, we welcome you, too, because our environment is one that's not toxic or hyper-competitive in nature.
After all, we have our "real life" jobs to fill that niche, right? So when we game, we do so to "get away from it all," so to speak.
