THE DOLLARS (ticker DLLRS) is a corporation centered around improving players.
All are welcome.
- No mic's are required
- No donations are required
- No time is required
Our goal is to create a community that can help new players get their boots on the ground. With ISK reimbursement and player support, we feel this is possible.
We feel the biggest strength in DUST is numbers. Our dream is to have enough members that at any given time, you may always have the option of inviting those to a squad.
Benefits:
- Any new recruit who has been a member of THE DOLLARS for more than 10 days and has played at least 1 game during that time will receive 300,000 ISK as a show of appreciation.
- On the first day of every month, every member shall receive 100,000 ISK for Corporation payroll. (subject to increase as the corporation grows)
- Players that participate in corporation missions will receive commission pay from all ISK profit.

Sorry not to troll but how are you going to get money for corporation matchs if no one donates and only you do so you won't have money for yourself and also with no mics how would u communicate in corporation battles and in squads plus giving all your members 200 000 ISK means ull get bankrupt very soon and without corporation battles and mics people will start get bored and proberly leave your corp so just watch out. Just wanting best for you man good luck recruiting I wish you the best. |

I do consider myself an idealist, and I do realize that this is a pie in the sky idea.
Looking at my current income, 200,000 ISK is not too much to ask. I have a small fortune, and if I can spread it out to new players we can really get this game moving. I really want this game to succeed, and if I can help people want to continue, that's what's in it for me.
I'm not looking for fame and fortune, I'm looking to accelerate the progress of Dust mercs, and help them find a place. Even if they eventually outgrow this corporation, that is success for me. Maybe people won't like my idea, and maybe no one will join up, but hey; I figure it's worth a shot. If no one does like it, then I'll probably just start a corp like the rest of them. I myself am starting to do well in this game, I have a mic, and I know at least a couple other mercs in my corp do.

Hey! So to answer both questions:
We will be participating in corp battles when we have enough consistent members to fill up a team.
I believe at least one person is on at nearly all times on the weekends, and nightly through the week. This last week we had 2-4 people on every night. We've doubled our numbers this weekend, so I'm hoping to see that turn to 3-6 nightly.
To join, open up your neocom (L1 in quarters, or start button always) and scroll down to corporations.
Go to the search option, and search for THE DOLLARS (or just DLLRS).
Select apply, and myself or our director will add you ASAP.
Thanks for your interest guys! Things are looking good so far. As a side note, because of our quick success, we are probably going to raise the pay (before the first pay period). It'll switch from 50K a month to 100K a month, and 200K new recruit gift to 250K recruit gift. I just gotta do some number crunching and I'll let you guys know. When it goes into effect I'll edit the first post.

So, from what I could find on the forums, there's no way to change your forum portrait. It seems your just stuck with whichever picture you chose during the character creation business. There's rumors that one day we'll be able to switch it up, and even use the EVE character creator (which is immense), but for now we're stuck.
And thanks man! I don't blame you at all for being picky about a corp. You seem like the kind of fellow that once he's in something, he sticks with it (which is very admirable in my opinion). But if you change your mind, or think we would be a good fit, please consider us! We could use as many good men as we could get.

Your corp seems to be growing nicely and I am looking for some comrades to learn along side with. I would like to join if you will have me...
My primary goals right now are to:
- Learn how to properly outfit my character based upon different battle scenarios
- Learn how to use the chat/mic features effectively
- Become more familiar with the maps and hot spots for snipers and the like
- Take advantage of what the radar is showing around me such as supply depots
- Make sense out of non battle related in game options like hacking and healing.
I just want to learn from people who are willing to teach me so I can better serve my corp. |

Maximus - To leave the corp you're in, I think you have to click on yourself in the My Corporation, Members tab, and select Leave corporation. I believe that's right (I've never tried lol). Please come aboard! The more the merrier! Especially with THE DOLLARS.
Carl - We'd love to have you aboard! And you really don't need to worry about donations, we pay you! Of course we will accept any donations that come our way, and we appreciate the support, but this corporation is really about helping players (new, casual, and expert alike) improve their game, squad up with good guys, and ultimately win more often.
xXCrazyXx - We of course will have you. All of those things are on the top of our list. (often times the hardest thing is to use the chat, and especially setting up the mic, effectively) If we can set that up however, everything else falls into place fairly easily. Message me sometime and I can take you through everything I know. If I'm not on, many of the other corp mates are more than willing to squad up and help. Thanks for your interest!
Speaking of which:
TUTORIAL OF THE DAY: To set up the chat system, first go to system, settings, and turn voice chat to "on" (you have to press "X" to lock it in) Once in a squad, click on the squad tab (off of the communications menu) and press "Activate Voice". If there's any trouble, shoot me a message in game!

Had my first corp battle today with the boss and a couple of others, first time using a mic too which was cool. Was a lot better then hiding behind a random heavy and shooting at whatever moves. I think it'll be a shorter learning curve then going solo.
Sorry I dropped out on you guys the way I did, had **** going on all around me (as you probably heard) can't wait for the next battle to get a bit more involved. The K\D is already looking better but I think I need some advice on what gear I should be concentrating on to improve my game and help the squad out more.

And that was awesome Dan. The squad coordination we were starting to have was really make us all more effective. If you'd like to squad up again (it's easier to talk then use the ps3 keyboard) I can throw down what bit of knowledge I have about things to see if I can help. Good man Dan!
OFFICIAL BUSINESS: I ran payroll earlier, so everyone in THE DOLLARS should be 100k ISK richer!! Thinking that next month I may want to try and raise the pay rate again. We'll have to see how many people join, and how our corp fund looks after the 300k gifts kick in! 47 members last I checked, growing literally every day! Keep them coming!!! The more people we get, the sooner we can take on corporation contracts!
TOMUKE BUSINESS: I'll be heading out of town for the next couple days. I won't have access to my ps3 and probably not to a computer (he doesn't have a smart phone??). I'll be back tuesday, but until then message Forrest Cloward in my place. He should be able to answer anything you may need.

We would love to have you aboard Noobydoob! Send in an application and we'll set you up quick. I specialized in vehicles during the closed beta (before the character reset), so if you want to squad up some time, I can help out with pretty much any questions you have!
A big reason I started this corporation was for those who wanted to specialize in vehicles. With the ISK pay and everything, it helps support the expensive vehicles. A good pilot (dropship, HAV, or even LAV) can really make a huge impact on a battle, especially if you have foot soldiers to coordinate with. It does however take a fair amount of practice and money.

Am slowly getting to grips with the fitting... and can finally drive the LAV without crashing too much! Gun skills are not the best I fully admit, but enjoy running support. Am based in UK but will be on most weekends.

I'm relatively new to DUST but have been playing COD online for years so I have a bit of experience with FPS games online. I joined this corp 3 days ago and have fallen completely in love with it. All the members are extremely friendly and there's quite the handful of active members. Not a day goes by that I haven't joined a squad and had fun with friends. We get stronger together! I've gotten lots of great advice from old players and have given quite the chunk of advice myself to new players. Bottom line, this corp is great for everyone. When I joined The Dollars my k/d ratio was 0.15 (it's horrible I know but i'm a noob, or "blueberry" as i'm told to call noobs), now that I have been in the corp for 5 days, and with the support and advice of my corpmates i'm pushing 0.6 and getting better everyday. So if you are a "blueberry" like me, The Dollars will make you a better player. |

Ok, not to discuss the merits necessarily, I have something to mention.
I could not be more happy with how things have been going for us. I'll be honest, after we had nearly no applications in the first week I started to doubt that this would work at all. I thought I would have to stick to playing with a couple of my friends and miss out on some of the best of DUST.
With just about 110 members of THE DOLLARS now, it's insane to think I was nearly ready to call it. I usually see about 3-4 people on constantly, and sometimes up to 12+ players playing. I couldn't be more proud and honored to work with such awesome people in making this a reality. A huge thanks to all who are really pushing us forward. I have high hopes for this group of guys in making something truly unique in an online game such as this.
I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds by saying that this corporation is worth joining. No matter your gaming intensity, or time available, you are welcome. We have some truly awesome people here who are willing to help and learn. |

I'm surprised to see that you worked this out ok. Curious question though, are you having to fund the +12 million ISK payroll every month by yourself? 120 is a lot of people and I can see you getting burned out having to grind that much ISK, that you don't even get to keep for yourself, or your Corp Wallet. |

And Stormtroopin: Most of the funds do come from me personally, and I'll be honest that it's tiring at times. But I usually only spend about 12k ISK a game, and usually make it in the top three. I do get payed well every match, but that doesn't cover everything. The rest of the money comes from private, anonymous donations from different members of the corp. I really couldn't do it without these good guys. And truthfully, the 12 mill. ISK a month is not nearly as hard as the 36 mil. from the 300k ISK new recruit gift.
