I'm requesting that the use of AV grenades not be the primary deterent for vehicles, seeming as forge guns alone can't tank down a properly fit tank easiely, or swarm launchers for that matter depending on the tank. Those are primary selections for vehicles and they can't one pop tanks. It should be a collective effort using all of those weapon types to destroy the BEST tanks and tank drivers out there. A very small handheld device has more destructive force than a forge gun that takes time to charge it's super sonic payload...also the same is true for swarm launchers... They can be thown in rapid succession for that matter as well. Just look at the stats for yourselves and you can see that standard AV grenades are WAY over powered. If this stays the same I think that you'll see less and less dedicated tank drivers b/c of these very small handheld devices. 40-50% damage reduction to the base damage sounds about right, they will still be able to take out/deter LAVs and HAVs effectively and not allow one lone stragler that happend to spawn behind the tank driver/crew to be killed unfairly. Thank you for taking the time and consideration in this thread as it has been overlooked for too long. |

You can throw them in rapid succession. But in order to throw more than 3 you need to be near a supply depot or in a nanohive. Which makes you a super, super easily target and as you are throwing them, standing next to a depot or nanohive, the tank can... move away. The current frustrations over AV nades and tanks was, to me, not an issue before the wipe. Even as someone with advanced AV nades it took more than I could throw to destroy a tank that was levelled up appropriately. |

A few days ago I would have agreed with you Spartan, but then today I ran into a shield tank. I put down a nanohive and spammed av nades at it fruitlessly. I hardly scratched it's shields. Armor tanks are for distance fights from fixed positions. Shield tanks for manuevering in support of the ground troops. Even if the shield tank is hit with flux nades, the pilot should be around infantry that could support and stop those targets from doing so. Going into dense areas with a armor tank and getting AVed to death just goes to show the pilots poor decision, and gets what he deserves. |

Ah very good I haven't thought of it that way, I was looking at the damage of them and they seem to be reasonable damage but they just do way more than that. I will keep that in mind when designing a tank in the future. |
