When I log into Dust it shows I have 6 mails but when I go to them its shows I have no mails?
Can this be fixed either removing the notification or letting me see my mails. |

Same, this happened to everyone in my corp after directors sent test corp mails. Their hypothesis was that you couldn't see corp mail sent from EVE side. |

I know for a fact they are Alliance mails for me, since my corp doesn't use Corp mails and I've sent exactly 3 alliance mails (the number of phantom mails I have) since putting this char in my EVE corp. Hope this helps narrow it down. |

This happened to me ill tell you how to reproduce it:
Start a message, type in someones name. Then exit before sending. Even if you delete it the counter will not reset. Or if you receive a message and then delete the counter may still not reset. |

^ I think this is your answer CCP. Corp mails sent from the EVE side don't show up in DUST as an actual readable mail, but are registered by the DUST client. |

I have 1 phantom mail on my Void Echo profile from when I was with project9, that was a week ago that I got this invisible message.. now I can't even type in local chat with my void echo profile without getting disconnected, the invisible message error is directly blocking me from gameplay literally... |

I have phantom mails on all my 3 characters, on my main I have 9 unread mails that I cannot see and on others as well, even tho I haven't send any mails to anyone at all from my alts, not including main character. |

I have it too. It comes with UVT system message. I delete it but 1 unread message sign still appear |

Same problem here!
Inbox is marked red with count 26 now ... But neither inbox nor messages shows any!
After talking to GM MUZA i was supposed to Clear cache ... i cleared cache, rebootet ps3 completly, reset router and i-net connection but ... Count still at 26 and i didnt get any of this messages to see so far.
Last hint from Muza was i should post it here ... so i did  |

updated strangeness:
mailcount now was 28 an i checked inbox : nothing in there as since servermigration ...
- so i wrote a mail to myself
- mail to myself showed up at inbox and also in sent
- deleted the blank mail to myself at inbox
- now mailcount was 27 ... actually should still 28 since the one to myself was 29 then ?!
- mail doesnt show up anymore in sent-mails ..... actually should since i deleted mail in inbox?!
Maybe that helps to get rid off that problem - still wanna know whats in that 28 messages ;o) |

another update :
since i could send a mail to myself i tested further :
- corpleader sent me a private mail and a corp-mail
- after private mail - count hit 30
- checked inbox and really there was a mail
- after deleting the mail - count hit 29
- now corpleader did the corpmail
- mail showed up in his sent-messages
- nothing happend in my inbox
now my suggestion :
could it be that this "phantom messages" come from corp and alliance-mailings ?!
any Official pls some answer?! |

A corp or alliance mail sent from an EVE player will give you the phantom message thing every time. |

I know what the problem is, at least, part of it. No text entry.
It's the weird button change to SQUARE for private messages. Normally any place that you may enter text, to enter into the keyboard you hit X, except for PMs, When you hit X on a PM, it sends. People are used to X to enter and start to send. Thus back and forth the blank messages go.

Pretty sure this is an existing known bug in your database.
Sending mass emails from eve side to dust side corp makes the mails fail to appear and leaves the unread marker.
Be good to fix given that the email system dust side is so bad... |
