My thought on nova knives is that they rely on the combination of melee and nova damage. this being said has anyone ever tried to level up hand to hand combat and use the nova knife to test an difference in damage? if it works then there is an stimulant that also increases the melee damage to an high degree and will make the damage probably high enough to kill an heavy. can anyone post if they have ever tried the hand to hand combat skill with nova knife?  |

that is what i was thinking do to the damage it says on the basic one and what i can kill on the field with them taking out some assault suits that should have the more than the 160 damage that an nova knife has. frontline assault suit has 147 shield and 183 armor, the nova alone shouldn't be able to kill it in one hit like i can unless its taking from the suits melee damage which is 135 on all. of course that's adding in the weaponry present bonus damage after those numbers. |

The nova knife strikes twice at 160 per hit so a total of 320 on one charge if you hit both. |

No melee damage has no effect on nova knife damage at all, not speaking from experience but from Nova Knife himself who has tested it. |

i tried it before the wipe- with high level hand-to-hand combat, charging up the knife is just a waste of time. |

They should make it compatible since u can melee with knife in the discription it say basic melee, I guess poking ppl twice isnt basic enuff... |
