Eve players will get it, but it's hard for me to articulate skill synergy making a pissant 3-5% difference per skill dot matter. |

From glancing over, this is what you need to be proficient skill wise. It is 3 and 5% differences that will make the difference. Fitting skills allow you to get the most out of your fit, which is important. The rest of the skills make sure you can perform any role in the team, from grunt work to hacking, though I would say that being able to use repair units is important to have, so that you can fill the role, if not especially well. In this, as in EVE, if you aren't planning your skill plan out several months in advance, you are going to regret it later. |

Also no one replied to me -- do headshots with a knife do any more damage? Do knives do any more damage to someones back? |

I haven't tested this in the most recent build but I believe the answers to your questions are "yes" and "no" in that order.

A headshot with a knife should do 50% more damage. Backstabbing doesn't do more damage though. |

So everything that increases weapon damage, range, and reload along with everything that increases armor and shields followed up by everything that allows us to heal/revive better and give more ammo, all the way up to Level 5 on each of them?
