New players are coming in every day and wasting their valuable SP on making a new corporation. The number of new corps just since the wipe is already over 1000, and it's only been a week. If you have a small group of people you play with and you want to form a new corp after you have some core skills squared away, go for it. But you aren't going to be able to make a successful corp by playing solo until people one by one gradually join your corp. That's not how it works. There are already MANY big name corps out there that have reputations that will FAR outweigh your 1 or 2 man corp when it comes to deciding who to join. Large corps already have Eve and alliance contacts, resources, man power, not to mention most of the best players in the game are already squared away in the top 20 corps.
Your best bet to get by here in Dust is to find an existing corp that suits your needs, be that Eve contacts, KDR requirements, team play, etc, and join up. There are PLENTY to choose from who will have all you need and more.
If you make a new corporation you will not be able to leave it unless you pass the CEOship off to someone else. And you will not get those SP you wasted on the skills to make that corp back. I know you are all coming in here with dreams of grandeur and wanting to aim for the top, but you're chances are very poor at best of ever pulling past 15 members. And once it becomes apparent that your corp is going nowhere, you will have desertions until you drop down to you and a handful of friends. It's already happened over and over, I've seen it happen to so many corps that looked like they were gonna do well.
I really hate to see noobs waste their startup SP on making a new corp and get pissed because they are getting stomped, then just give up on the game. It's that kind of thing that could perhaps cripple a lot of the player base from the get go, thus leaving us with a very low playerbase in a game that needs a lot of players to function properly.
But it's just my suggestion. All around, it's a bad idea unless you have numbers and talent there with you before you start. |

I see the point in that people should group up, I made a corp because I was frustrated with ZION tcd and other simmilar operations in having a HUUUUUUGE process of filling out fourm and giving every stupid detail in your experiences in a game, that is then reviewed for DAYS.
You can literally spend hours and days getting in a corp, most RL jobs I apply for require a tenth of the effort even of the more difficult ones.
My word to established corps to draw people way from making own corps is to realize, this is a game, and a beta, dont be a shitlord, realize its a game and not a second work life. And they state that using a booster is cheating. So your Merc Pack comes with a built in Keep Out Of Zion Ticket. I didn't stick around long enough to see if spending AUR was as well. ShitLord. What a great label. We have a recruitment process, but it usually only lasts a few hours unless we have trouble getting online at the same time to squad with you. Amazing that ZION has such a process considering their player count.
(ShitLord is a very nice label indeed)
