Aur weapons and general equipment is not worth it IMO.
I do however buy like for example the +10 damage mods, just so that I can enjoy them a day or 4 earl++ier than I would without throwing some AUR on it. I suspect I will do the same for Shield extenders and so on.
I hope they bring more cpu/pg saving items, like for example a 80% medkit, more modules (So far its only the Shield recharge delay thingy that I've seen thats interresting, and saving 10-15 cpu just isn't worth it) and more of the general support stuff. I would also like a VK1 protosuit available, makes no sence that its only the far less attractive VKo or "armor suit" that is available. |

If my calculations are correct you are a pedantic nerd. The point wasn't the amount lost, you mouthbreather, it was the fact that you're losing money every time you die. I must bow in the presence of great rhetoric, SAT words and insults have shown me that you won this quarrel. I am so stupid for having not seen your point originally, I am forever sorry. |

I think you'll get over it.
I remember that in college I played ultima online and I had mixed feelings about paying $20 a month. That was a lot to me, and the "best" entertainment was always "free." Sneaking into movie theaters, downloading music, hanging out in the girls dorm after hours. Now that I'm all grown up, married with a kid, and have a great paying job, my perspective has changed. Hanging out in college girls' dorm rooms is no longer an option. I don't mind paying to have a good time (*insert dirty joke here*). On top of that, I actually believe it's good to support the things you believe in.
I'm ok with people having their illusions that they are somehow affecting my real life wallet by killing me. But that fat wallet sometimes hurts my a** when sitting on it, so maybe someone will be able to help. |

Anytime I am killed with an Officer weapon or an Aurum weapon I actively hunt for that person afterward just to cost them the gear.
Aurum gear is particularly annoying whenever resets happen, its the "get a leg up" gear. I have aurum but would never use it on gear, only boosters, dont see a point.

I have aurum gear and I'll use it. I have no problem spending money on a game I really enjoy. I bought every MAG downloadable available, not because I needed it, but because I put over 1000 hours into that game and wanted to support it. I think this game is going to be groundbreaking (go ahead and call me a fanboy) and I have no problem spending discretionary income on it.
Instead of going to see a movie I'll buy some aurum and that will last me a hell of a lot longer than the $20 I would've spent at the movie theater. |

Its good for CCP yet you vent about it?
SP Boosters of any kind are dumb. The math doesn't work out. Actually the only one that does is the 30-day included in the Merc Pack. There. Vented.
Let's not talk about the UVT (Universal Venting Thing). The pricing on that ... never mind. It still makes my blood boil. Not calm enough for Venting yet.
So putting 30 AUR into a Farsight Sniper rifle that gets you 400 meters on the competition isn't worth 1.5 pennies?
Or a Blindside AR? Which gives you +60 damage per clip. Just enough to take that Merc down. The one that 48 shots won't or the 60 round clip that only does 1HP less damage.
Maybe if SP wasn't so hideously expensive we could, I don't know, level up? Various Skills can overcome the missing functionality in the ISK purchases pieces.
Not all of them I've noticed. Not when they are the last thing in the market.
