By all means the daily cap is far from perfect but I find it much more fun than what the weekly cap was. The weekly cap made the game so dull and boring. |

I don't see the logic in that comment, but when I started getting less than 1k SP for a game halfway through the week, I would just think, screw this, and I would wait for the reset.
Now the daily cap doesn't have all this diminishing returns bollocks. Which is a good thing in my opinion. |

Now, I have to play every day if I want my max SP... it's become a job.
With a family, a real job and other interests, this has become a chore. It has me seriously looking at AFK SP camping in the MCC while I take care of my real life obligations that I have around the house.
I'd rather have only passive SP than this, it would be less of a chore and it would take away the grinding aspect of the game.
To be honest though, why do most people think they have to keep up all the time. So what if you miss a day or even a week?
Look at virtually all competitive FPS's on consoles, they all have a progression system. You always get players WAY ahead of you. I don't know if it's because most of you are EVE players but if you fall behind in a console FPS, why give a ****. It's a game, you'll always get someone ahead of you.
It's pathetic really, in any game if you don't play a lot you will fall behind but in this game everyone thinks they should all be at the same level. Imagine if all the open beta players join these forums and start saying "Aw, it's unfair you have a head start", but how many of you would actually care, you'd just tell them to HTFU.
And I say that to all of you complaining about being behind. HTFU. |

And I say that to all of you complaining about being behind. HTFU. It's not about being behind, it's about falling behind and not being able to get that SP even when we can play. As a college student, I am mostly only able to play on the weekends. I spend all my week doing school work while my weekends are usually quite free. This daily cap with no roll over sucks, because I could put 10 or so hours on this game over the course of a Saturday or Sunday, but I get shafted because of the daily hard cap. It doesn't matter how much I play on the weekends when I have time, I don't get any SP despite playing more than what some people casually play over the course of a week. "It's pathetic really, in any game if you don't play a lot you will fall behind but in this game everyone thinks they should all be at the same level." There's a big difference. In any other game, if you have the time to play, you can play your ass off and catch up. The fact is, I and a lot of other people can play more on a Saturday and Sunday than a lot of people play during the entire week, but we're the ones getting shafted, only getting 2 days worth of SP, despite playing more than the casuals that play everyday.
I'm not saying a cap roll over would be bad, if anything I would love a cap roll over. At the moment though there is no cap roll over and I don't really care if I don't get a days SP. It doesn't bother me that much that I complain my arse off about it. (Not saying you personally are, but a lot of people on the forums are.) |
