Just got out of a terrible Skirmish with a huge influx of noobs. The real pastel blues. No depth to their shading at all.
I did terrible. Finished second on our side with 1/4 and under 500WP, 300? 400? who cares? It was terrible. I only got one kill and the rest were all early captures. The first death was one bar away from taking a Turrent. Scout Suit, yeah I die in that first Suit quite often.
I got chopped up in my Heavy/HMG with Zero help. Big surprise. Now I am down with zero kills and we do not have a single captured objective in Line Harvest map. I watch for 30 seconds and they show no signs of making any progress.
Fine. I have a bug report regarding Sniper Rifles not using all of their rounds in a clip so let's go test that. Reds have at least three good snipers, I know because one tried real hard to kill me, another did and I watched another guy get taken down with yet a different name/sniper rifle configuration.
As I am heading up to my nest some idiot noob in a mediocre Suit comes up and starts emptying his AR into me. Well my shields are dropping and I look twice, which was twice too many, and that is when the one sniper got me. Took two or three shots. If I hadn't been paying attention to the idiot I would have been home free cause this rig has armor rep.
Guess what? No Logi Bro in the system. Four deaths and not a single "triage in the vicinity" message.
I am not going back to the over crowded sniping spot. I just wish I had been on the other side. You could barely miss for all the bodies. So I go to the alternate spawn. No Supply Depot. I died once more by sniper fire and tried like hell to revive around four downers but they all faded before I got there. One was actually close. There were several hanging around, a sniper doing okay (probably first place wt ~1000WP split between captures and kills) but before I could get my rep out I was down and out for the last time.
I went back anyway. It was like a little family circus. Throwing grenades, shooting at the MCC with ARs, just shooting their ARs at nothing.
So I sent Nanny Boi an email. After five or six empty messages, with this UI it is hard to blame anyone for that, he finally replies that we don't want no spawn camping in the game.
Really? From 200-300 meters? Do we need an invitation to dance before I can kill a Merc. Or see the whites of his eyes behind his visor. Anyway I had reminded him that that this is not CoD and FF was not active.
I figured it took him six tries to come up with some excuse as to why he was trying to FF me. A little slow upstairs it seems like.
TL;DR
We need a tutorial map. Noobs only. No Reds.
They cannot leave until they have killed themselves ten times. Grenades, falling, whatever.
The next map would be slap fights only. We could sell tickets. |
