XD. Unfortunately corp battles are not available since the reset. They can be done through the merc system or something like that. Also, only directors can make and join corp battles. Before the reset we had corp battles about every other day. We had some a few days ago, but I think most corps are just making their builds and specializing. The team selected is sometimes done by who is online at the time.
I believe we are making a training corp for members who have not been in too many corp battles yet. Corp battles are completely different from pub matches. Even the layout of the maps are different. Sometimes they take fresh members to real corp battles, (like me lol) but that was because no one else was online at the time. We usually don't talk about who we battle and the outcome of the battle on public forums. You should sign up on the ROFL forum.
Unfortunately many corps refuse to fight PFBHz, like Hellstorm scrubs, so sometimes it is hard to get corp matches with corps on an equal level. However, if another corp is not well geared or experienced in corp battles, PFBHz will usually field players who aren't well geared and experienced too. Fair fights are much more fun than one sided ones. Although you probably shouldn't expect to get into a battle against a corp like Imperfects anytime soon. I know I don't yet :). Maybe when you can beat Satori 1v1 XD.
If there are multiple squads on, they'll usually try to queue sync so they'll end up on opposite teams. Every once in a while we unfortunately get two squads on the same side, but it has been rare. Pub stomping is lame. Right now there's no ISK, SP, or loot incentive to win pub matches. There's no KDR or W/L requirement (yet) for bunnies, but I think they would prefer it if you stayed at or above a 1.0. However, if you're rolling with a 0.07 KDR like that one guy , you can expect someone to start asking you some questions.
You'll get much better by fighting other good players in another squad. If you're going something like tanks, we will try to get people skilled in AV going against you. That way you can get some good practice for a corp battle. Expect your tank to get blown up, but how else can you learn how to use vehicles and gear ;)? You can find out what works and what does not too. I know I'm going to get my ass kicked in tank vs tank battles with Slap soon.
You should join Rise of Legion channel in game and feel free to merc for any of the corps in there. Last night some corps in there were looking for mercs. I don't know what the rules are for mercing for other clans outside of that chat. I don't think it's been a problem in the past as long as the members kept their corp tag on, but you should probably ask in chat. If another corp wants a bunch of PFBHz members to merc for them, they better be paying us some $.
You'll get into some corp battles soon ^_^. I believe CCP is coming out with 16v16 corp battles in the near future. It's hard to take everyone to an 8v8. |

Good info on arranged corp battles; +1.
Know of anything written on militia battles, and how collateral, reward, and time work?

You must be a director to accept a contract in FW.
To accept a contract you must contribute a collateral to the battle, could be 500 000 ISK to 1 000 000 ISK or more.
If the battle bugs out, you lose the ISK anyway.
If the opponent doesn't show up, you also still lose the ISK.
AFAIK only people in your corp can accept the contract. |
