In order to not make them rage quit the game we must not be too brutal and try to lower our tryhardiness. if new players sees a group of people going 16 n 0, or 31 n 0, they will get discourage and say "well this people are cheating" because thats the tipical noob judgment and will go back to cod. just saying... if the noob gets r***d on his first day by a bunch of Synergy, imperfect, Zion, or SCE clan members they will leave the game. i already told my clan mates to not put their r4pe faces on. |

Pandering to noobs Will only bring the game down. The beta had a large pool and long running time. This is what you get and the only solution would be a nerf bat. Just need to let it play out, as is, and get used to the fact that this game Will grow like Eve , slow and steady. |

Really want a bunch of people walking around with an unwarranted elevated sense of self worth? They'll just continue sucking ass for their entire duration in the game. Never learning how to counter someone or exploit someone's weakness/es.
Also how are you supposed to learn the flaws in your own game if you're coddled?
Also I've already upgraded my tear cup to a tear tub and the store said no refunds. |

Don't forget that we will have some random cod fanboys with a chip on their houlder thinking they are better than us after we faked every gunfight..we are the beta testers we earned our skills and reputation and we won't let that change just cause of some nine year old cries |

IDK maybe i am paranoid that the same thing will happen to dust. remember that this is a console were people are looking for fun, they will not want to learn all the stuff that dust has, plus giving them a good r4pe wont make things better.

There is going to be different areas for people to play in when the game goes live, new players and bad players will be shooting each other in Highsec, while the good players and corps will be fighting for districts in factionwar or planets in nullsec, noobs will never have an easy time playing the game because of learning curve and facing vets, but it will be better than a lot of other FPS games where all you can do is pick a server, and hope it isn't clan stacked or full of 5 star generals ect. |

It is a harsh place. And lots of rookies run into vets daily. Especially in high sec. However, quite a few of those vets will help a rookie out after they blow them up, scam them or otherwise ruin their day with lots of advice. Provided of course the rookie doesn't decide to be whiny little clown about it. |

But seriously. I want to see the player base grow, not stay the same. I've got a lot of college buddies eagerly awaiting open beta. Guiding newbies into their skill sets would probably be more beneficial to them. If they want to play an FPS, then they most likely already know what they're doing in those respects. |

Kill them all I say but I wouldn't troll them so they play something else... if the player counts are too low this game's DEV team will receive less funding, less funding equals less support, less support equals less patches/hotfixes, less patches/hotfixes equals no new content, that all equals dead game... |

Just refrain from over trash talking or tea bagging them. Be supportive of them, tell em gg and better luck next time. If ya see someone who does really terrible a few games and ya notice they are new, send them a message telling them you hope their luck turns around and ask if they would like some advice. If we as a community are good to the noobs and show them adequate respect/support they will not only keep playing but also enjoy losing. Holding back, and not trying your best dishonors yourself and the person you're facing so that's not a good idea. Just be good compassionate winners that share and help the new community to grow and prosper and the game will strive and thrive for years to come. |

Sadly, I bet that they're gonna be 1% of "Dude, you're amazing... I'm new but, can you teach me the basics so I can hope to match your skills one day?" and 99.9% of "OMG HAXXOR NO LIFER, I'LL REPORT YOU BOOSTER CHEATER SCUM" |

To be honest the gameplay experience is halfway there but unfortunately, more often than not, you end up with that top-left panel sensation. Dorf Fort is a good analogy though because some people give up on that game as soon as they see it. For some Dust 514 newcomers they might quit the minute they realise they have to read the tutorial texts. |
