Actually all of the racialisation (? is that a word?) raises some questions. Are all laser rifles going to be Amarr styled? Will we see a similar damage dealer at that range for other factions?
Yeah, pretty much. Laser technology is paramount in Amarr culture as it's considered more "pure", as is their gold theme. Because in space combat, the only armor you need is God's armor.
Then you have Gallente who use Hybrid/Drone warfare, utilizing as little of the human element as possible to reduce their casualities. This is mostly because they have the highest degree of technology in New Eden, landing just beneath Sleepers / Jove.
Finally you have the Minmatar which use Projectile weaponry which they use simply because it's cheap and effective - that and it's reliable in an area with electronic disruption. |

Eeeehhhhh I dunno about that one. Laser Rifles were generally the staple for Amarrian warfare - maybe the Scrambler Rifle.
Plasma Rifles are frequently used by the Gallente/Caldari, particularly in their war era.
We've yet to see a Projectile Rifle that the Minmatar would use, but after reading about things like the Veinshredder and the like it's quite possible that anything they'd field would be just brutal in it's efficiency. |
