I keep getting kicked out from the game after 10 minutes of gameplay, hasn't happened before until today. I ignored it at first and second kick out from the game, but after the third play that I got kicked out, I got stuck on the loading screen, so I had to restart my PS3 console.
It's been day 3 and I still cannot use the Charged Sniper Rifle. I can use the other lvl 2 and lvl 1 types of sniper rifle, just not the Charged Sniper Rifle one. And also, when I drop from an MCC using the Scout Dropsuit, when on freefall and then pressing X to use the dampener, my arms are to the left, not centered. |

You need to hold the fire button to charge the charge sniper, you fire on release. |

There are problems in the game currently but not firing ever sounds like operator error. It is not clear how it works, trust me. I thought the Forge Gun would be the death of me. In fact, it was several times.
Excuse me if you already know this but here is the list of how to operate some of the more exotic weapons in Dust:
To fire a Charge Sniper Rifle, as stated above, press and hold R1 until the growing red circle in the middle of your display is complete. Then the rifle is ready to fire. When you release R1 the gun will fire. L1 is standard scope mode. Which is normally pressed first.
It is important to note that all charged weapons work this way, including the Forge Gun.
Rail Guns, large and small, require holding R1 until the Rail Gun fires on its own. Good luck with timing that.
Swarms require that you hold L1 to find your target, hold R1 until the target flashes and a lock signal is given. Then releasing R1 will shoot the missiles and the launcher doesn't have to be pointing at the target. This is commonly done to clear a local obstacle. As long as target lock is not lost the missiles will track to the profile of the target.
Many weapons that employ this firing mechanism will not hold their charge when sprinting, just so that doesn't surprise you in the heat of battle.
Hope this helps. |
