I like potatos.
We need to rally about the SP cap.
I don't know how much attention you guys have been paying to the forum about the SP cap issue but we all need to rally together if this game is going to continue to be fun to play.
To give you all some insight, there is currently a daily SP cap on Dust as follows:
Active: 27,200 SP per day (without booster)
Passive: 24,000 SP per day (without booster)
= 51,200 SP per day
Active: 40,800 SP per day (with booster)
Passive: 36,000 SP per day (with booster)
= 76,800 SP per day
When cap is maxed
with boosters = 537,600 SP per week
without boosters = 358,400 SP per week
To put this into perspective, a x1 skill requires approx 310,000 SP to get to level 5 equating to 6 days without skill boosters and 4 days with boosters assuming that you max out your cap every day you play.
In Eve online all skill are done completely passively and it takes approx 7 days to train a x1 skill to level 5 requiring no time dedication from the player.
Although I can appreciate that any game with a leveling system has difficulty balancing between hardcore and casual players and accommodating new players, this current cap system it spoiling the fun for the rest of us who do want to sit and play the game. Furthermore, I do not see the need for a SP cap if the teams of a match are balanced according to SP during the team allocation process.
Please be aware that CCP has said that it will be reviewing the current cap system this week so hold on before we start complaining again!
However, If like me you feel that this cap system is destroying the fun of the game we do need rally together and make CCP aware of our concerns so that Dust does not start hemorrhaging players. So, once the new cap system details are released, if it is still inadequate to cater for regular players please join me in posting on the Dust 514 forum to complain.
Unfortunately, this is definitely one of the together we stand, divided we fall situations, and CCP is renowned for not taking the complaints of its players seriously.

SP is at the best place it's been all beta. It's finally more in line with a long term plan than a quick fix.

SP cap is fine, no issues here except for CEO's having to level up Corp Management skills all by themselves. Otherwise I prefer a measured approach to the skill progression.
If you are playing the game for SP, then you are playing for the wrong reasons.
