Missile turrets need a buff

Hey folks!

I was just having a chat with one of the guys at CCP, and he's agreed to give look at a report I'm going to start working on in the next few days.

The objective of this report is to give an informed, unbiased review of all the content currently in the game as far as balance is concerned, and what changes should be made in order to put everything in a nice place. I am currently looking for people to help me contribute in a series of what would likely be some -very- heated discussions regarding nearly every weapon, vehicle, turret, and module in the game.

Anyone who is interested in participating, please send me an ingame mail. I'm already working on getting in touch with a few people who I feel would be invaluable in this effort, but will welcome any input from anyone so long as they are able to maintain an objective view and debate points without being offensive (Like I said, expect many heated discussions. Looking for people who can stay civil even if not everyone agrees with them)

No one will take priority, but I will be looking at posting history. If someone has a dubious (or non existant) posting history, I'm gonna want to talk to them ingame in a squad chat or so to hear their ideas and thoughts on stuff to see if they're going to be productive in this.

(Read: Trashposters/trolls are going to have to convince me they are going to make a positive contribution and not be disruptive)

As a free agent i get to enjoy playing with players from a lot of corps without having to pledge fealty to anyone. Ive participated in corp battles when needed.

Moreover ive created my own corp to use as a slush fund b/w my alts prior to reset and may do so again.

Why should i join a corp because you say so.... again eat my f eces.

So by balance, do you mean letting us kill tanks with assault rifles? Because that's balanced and tanks are op.

HTFU, Ive seen you post multiple times that you want balance in a game and that not everything you post is a QQ or wanting to be able to solo blah blah blah.

Why do you assume you're the only one able to maintain objectivity?

Im not leet but im not ****** either. Im perfectly capable of making informed decisions based on observed data while being concious of association, cognitive and a whole slew of biases that alter our perception from reality. Im also capable of admitting that i may not fully understand a certain aspect of a game and hence will defer my opinion until i understand it better.

You have a valuable opinion i dont deny this but you arent the only one and if you think you are, go get some investors make your own AAA game release and when everyone on the forums come at you to QQ you can tell them to eff off, till then learn to argue your points and debunk other ppl's arguments with good rationale. If you're incapable or otherwise can't be bothered to offer up anything constructive then don't bother.

Sum it up you're opinion despite what you may think isnt the only one that matters. Should everybody have an equal say, NO. But try using your words to offer poignant counter rebuttal.

It's sad to see this good-intentions thread filled up with trolls. It's one thing to argue on a thread debating an idea, and perhaps get mad enough to put a few insulting comments in with it, but another to come to a thread that has no reason for discussion at all.
It's also sad to see everything I assume about the Imperfects is true, that when they show up in a thread all reason-ability goes out the window.

Got a fair bit of responses ingame to this. Going to spend the next little while chatting with the folks who were interested. :)

Actually, since the new Cap pretty much demands I log in every day instead of just grinding super hard on the days I feel like playing, I've been AFK'ing in the MCC while I work on spreadsheets and getting in touch with all the people who are interested in this, and general organization.
