Wow. I literally can't make any SP anymore. Suddenly my plans of skilling up have been set back by weeks.
Bring in the reins a bit, I went a bit too far. Basically, the new SP cap punishes those who wish to skill up to access new equipment - that we've established, right? The best way to get something you want, is you put effort into it. That is one constant that games and reality hold in common. Unfortunately however, you can only play about 5 matches per game before completely running your cap, and you just sigh, put the controller down, and work up some funds to get a subscription on EVE Online. It was unhealthy, but it was good in the days where you played non-stop all day to get the gear you wanted. When you're someone like me - the Jack of All Trades, aiming to get so much equipment, then you're suddenly hard pressed to work on it.
That said however, I probably will be reducing my gaming time to a more healthy level, and ISK isn't reduced, so I can start spending on militia dropships. I just partially contradicted myself, please move on. |

The cap is too low and gives no incentive to play once you've hit it for the day. Why spawn good gear and bust your butt to win when you can do almost nothing and still get the 75 points. The SP gain should be equal to your WP earned. |

yeah, i have a large issue with how the cap punishes better players. . . those that are better at the game, like me, make more points through killing, hacking, and/or support actions. . .because of that we cap faster that those who are horrible fps gamers, but both arrive at the same point every day.

Unfortunately I think the current SP could very well be how it's going to work from now on. Aside from some special SP events, this game is meant to be played over the long haul, like EVE itself. Please don't take that to mean I disagree, TC, but I just don't think it will be increased. I would like to see it bumped to 30,000, though. I just find the current amount odd. |

Agreed, it does need to be a rounded number at least. |
