Currently there are different colored dropsuits but they require different skills, like the level 5 heavy suit is black and white, what im suggesting is having a fixed set of colors to choose from in the dropsuit menu. Im not talking about a whole color wheel, just basic colors like green, blue, red, and more. I know there are different colors, but i want to be able to change a proto color from black/white to like a army green or a blood red color. It all depends on what CCP wants to do. I wouldnt mind colors though. Would anyone like to add a comment to this? |

Adding actual customization instead of dumb AUR dropsuits that are a specific tier and a specific colour is a pretty obvious step forward. Yes, they should add this. Naturally it would be something you'd only be able to access through spending AUR, but that's a better use of AUR than what they have currently. |

It'd be better, IMO, if the suit's main colour stayed the same, but you could change the highlights. (pauldrons, stripes, etc.) That way you can tell what type of suit it is, and you can still wear the company colours. |

To keep AUR dropsuits somewhat unique, I think colors should cost a little bit of AUR. |

In all honesty i think this is a good idea for a revenue stream for CCP from DUST its not pay to win, and people would actualy do it simply out of vanity hell id get a few if i liked the paterns, Planetside 2 did vanity items in game as a revenue stream and people actually seem to get them as it adds character, no one wants to by something that your going to lose like the drop suits and BPOs are arguable pay to win as they cut out isk management, permanent vanity items such as camo are purely aesthetic and therefore offer no real benefit other than blending in a bit better perhaps. If CCP keeps making different colour schemes and variations of armour plates then there is a market that people would get to personalise their character is dust catches on |

I would agree with a AUR price for colors, but it all drops down to what people want, personally, i would like to see a customization to some degree like what MGO 2 from metal gear solid 4 had. where each clothing piece had several different colors, and even some camo that costed more.
Here is a link to the MGO reward shop, it shows what players were able to "Buy" with the in-game points they earned from tournaments, the same concept can be done with AUR.

So, basically you want the battlefield to look like a bag of skittles? Custom colors mixed with (the highly requested) mass drivers that shoot rainbows and explode candy canes etc.......you really want to go that route? It's supposed to be a war bro, not miss America beauty pageant. |

Its just an extra aesthetic that most people like, Ofcourse a candy-cane shootingmass driver is a little.....weird. But colored dropsuits would be an alright addition to me, even if it costs AUR. |

Good point, but more subtle colors not bright colors (halo franchise style) right? |

CCP has talked about being able to do this in some stuff that I've seen. Just remember this is the Beta and still closed - would much rather have them iron things out, then they can deal with the colors schemes for the suits. |
