EDIT: sorry, it auto maticly pushes it to the side so this was mostly useless.

Let me be more specific, this happened before the reset, i had an assault VK.1 with 340 armor and 322 shield, it literally killed me in less than 5 seconds and the guy that killed me wasn't even visible, this is what is bugging me.

There is the law of large numbers working in this game as well. Good chance you had any combination of people that were also shooting at you prior to the laser taking the cake so to speak. Just because it says killed by laser does not always mean it was just the laser. You could have been hit by a milita sniper rifle at the same time.
