This is something Dust has always had a problem with, in my opinion. For a game that touts the importance of each shot, these current matches are completely meaningless. Even Corp matches are only good for ISK, which is boring. I'm not sure Faction Warfare will fix that either, since there were still be plenty of public matches that aren't going to impact Sovereignty (that's the system EVE uses right?).
At the very least, CCP needs to give the winning side a much higher (like four times higher) chance at salvage or a better salvage item table. After all, it only makes sense that the winning side would be the ones getting most of the loot.

Can't agree with this. The SP non-accruing daily cap is already low. If you couple that with even lower gains per game, it's going to seem like even the most trivial skills are out of reach if you want to max them. They need to raise the SP per day way up and make sure it accumulates between days, so you don't miss out on X SP just for missing a few days of play.
Can you imagine how frustrated players who jump into this on day one, see all the cool skills they can get, and then realize they max SP after just 27k (non-boosted) will be? The only redeeming quality at all would be that you don't have to spend 4 hours doing it.

I'm interested to hear what everybody is thinking about these issues.
They still have the one map with 5 points all clustered together. The one a few builds ago that was more spread out was giving some people lag issues, so they removed it. |
